Only works for running, I guess.

Stopping a workout doesn't use force touch that I can tell. Now you swipe left to right. Pushing both side buttons is an auto pause. Repeat to start. Much better when it rains or your hands are wet. Will really help with swimming for me.
Hmm. I can get into using buttons to pause, but wOS2's Force Touch to end a workout saves me the hassle of not being able get reliable swipes when my fingers are sweaty. I hope they put it back in later.

Yep, the force touch has its place, but you can hit the two side buttons to pause until your fingers are dry for example. I like the idea because of swimming or rain. You pause the workout and dry off and end. There may be other ways, but that is all I know so far.

I thought I read that the new wOS beta will work with iOS 9.33 so I was wondering if it's easier to update and access than the developers beta.

Oh! Sorry - thought somehow that you were talking about WatchOS going to 3.2 from 3.0 beta 1 :)

I forget the numbers, but it was announced yesterday -an update to the 3.0 watchOS for 9.33 iOS if I read right.

I'll try to find the link, it was Cult o Mac or Mac Rumors... yesterday or Tues.
---It says it's the 4th beta build of watchOS 2.2.2.... sorry.

It's been noted here before, watchOS 3 requires iOS 10. If you revert back to iOS 9, some watch functions will remain however you won't have access to the watch app on the phone and the notifications are subject to issues at anytime. It's I'll advised to try.

Pretty sure WatchOS 3 only works with iOS 10, so this would be (big) news.
I tried it and iWatch 3.0 only works on 10.0 beta for now. I went back to 9.3 and the watch couldn't pair telling me to upgrade my phone. So I had to go back to 10.0 even though I wanted to stay at 9.3.

Thanks for making sure. Not surprised. I'd update to watchOS 3 b1 in a heartbeat if I could leave my phone on 9.x.x.

Does the scribble feature work in the maps app on the watch, so you don't have to dictate where you are looking to navigate to etc.?

No, as of right now scribble does not work in Maps, just went in and tried it. You still only get either dictation or recent when you go into the search function.

Thanks for checking. That's a shame, hopefully this will be in another beta update.
Is scribble only working with iMessage on or will it work when replying in something like Facebook messenger or WhatsApp on the watch?

Currently it only works in Messages or for notifications from Messages. On all other notifications there are only the dictation and emoji reply options. I think, they should make this a systemwide feature.

Downloading beta 2 now. Hopin the beta 2 for my iPhone has a lot of improvements but the beta 2 for the watch will hopefully be better. Though slow downloading.

I can't seem to be able to start the download it keeps saying that it can't connect to the watch when it def is.

I think it works for WhatsApp and FB messenger.

Auto-unlocking the mac has arrived in beta 2!

It is a bit slower than what they showed in WWDC, but I think this will hopefully improve. So far so good though!

The emergency SOS feature that you have to hold down the side button for 6 seconds has also shown up in beta 2.
