Yeah, good point.

I'm on wOS 2, and I have a situation where I have some Photo faces of my wife but I don't have the same photos synced to the watch (I had synced the photos, made the faces, then removed the photos; the faces remain, though).

Now I don't want to remove them, but I use other faces more often, so they occupy four spots in my face lineup and I can't rearrange them.

What about wOS 3? Can you (a) make Photos faces, remove the album from the watch, and still have the same faces? And (b) is it easy to rearrange them?

Not sure. I'll play around with it tonight and get back to you on that.

I hate the new timer app..... the old one was more efficient.
Ah -- can you explain? I don't have watchOS 3, so I'm guessing here --

A few months ago, I thought of making a timer app for the AW where I could quickly select intervals I use frequently, like the laundry washers and dryers in my apartment building. Rather than carefully scrolling the OS2 timer, maybe I could have a couple buttons that appear after opening the app. So, one tap to open the app, a second tap for my chosen time, and that's it; it's just two taps instead of tap to open, tap to select minutes (not always needed), scroll to the time, tap to start.

I thought the new timer app could be used this way. Is it different than it appears, though?

Basically if you want any other time as the presets you have to scroll all the way to the bottom to set it. Here is a link to a web site that hates it as well :)

Gotcha. Hmm.

You didn't see my previous post. Ever. Nobody here did. I said nothing about making my own Timer app. You don't see me trying more Xcode tutorials. These aren't the droids you're looking for.

Before watchOS3, I always used a time but rarely did I load the app - I would just say Hey Siri - set the time for 12 minutes and lower my wrist - it always worked - especially if I didn't sit there waiting for siri to pop up and fill in my words. I would get a haptic feedback when it started and I would say it worked 49/50 times that I did it...

This will always be way fast than the new app, but I do agree that it takes a little bit longer to set a custom time but I won't get any use for it since siri will always be faster.

^^^^ Siri would be good, too, but I don't take my phone with me when I go to the laundry room.

Of course, I could tell Siri to set the timer when I get back to my apartment. I'm still getting accustomed to talking to my watch.

Good point - I can't imagine you at the laundry getting mad that it took you 1 second longer to load a custom timer either though. :)

:p

When I first saw the new timer, I thought Apple beat me to my own idea.

Does the new timer let you save your favorite/frequently-used intervals? I don't time many things (if my wife allowed me to cook, I might have more...), so my idea would be to set a favorite timer or three, then be able to access them later with only one tap.

Nope. It stays with the same shortcuts. Tried custom intervals and they don't stay. Looked on the phone under clock and no option there either.

Somewhere I read that Activity app on iOS 10 with watchOS 3 now show you map of activity. So for instance you go running and at the end you can see all the stats + map where did you run. Is that true?

Strange. I did a 3 mile run the other night and the interface was different. It showed time, active calories, heart rate and distance. When I was done the summary showed my map at the bottom

Yeah I get more detailed look at stats on my  watch too, but summary on the iPhone stays the same. Strangeo_O
