Beta 6 really impressed me today. I went golfing today and it was super humid and hot and before the first hole was over, I was dripping wet. The watch wouldn't stay in one place and that usually causes it to lose the pulse rate from time to time. Today, I lost the heart rate once in the two hours and I burned 25% battery over two hours. Much improved over beta 3/4 and even 5.

What build is beta 6? Mine says it's updated after downloading but it just didn't seem to take long enough! LOL

Thank you! I am up to date, it's weird how fast that was compared to how long previous versions took to update.

I can't figure out how to get my off of 14s5302d. my watch keeps saying it's up 2 date. i have unpaired it and re added the ios10 profile

Make sure you're adding the right profile. You need the watchOS 3 profile.

Don't open the iOS 10 profile and choose Apple Watch. There's a separate specific profile for watchOS 3.

2 days in a row, my Apple Watch alarm has failed to go off. The watch face lights up a few minutes prior to the alarm time and then goes off instead of the alarm coming on. Lucky that I am a light sleeper and the watch face light was enough to wake me up.

Haven't going to B6 yet, but I just noticed something cool on B5 that I hadn't noticed before.

Voicemail transcriptions make their way over to the WATCH! anyone else see that?

Same here, I filed a radar, they asked me to install a logging profile and debug. With the logging profile, I reproduced it and now, each time they release a new beta, they tell me to check it again...

Wish they actually fix the problem. Even on watchOS 2.2.2, this was a problem, so this isn't a new thing that watchOS 3 introduced. I loved being able to wake up silently, but now I've fallen back to the iPhone again.

So far my alarm hasn't failed, but I wish they would add the Bedtime sounds to the watch. I prefer using the watch for my alarm in the morning, but wish they would let us change the sound to the Bedtime ones. It seems inconsistent, as the Watch is meant to act as the health device.

Can anyone confirm WatchOS BETA is compatible with the iOS10 Public BETA or can it only be used with the Dev version? TIA

Both the Dev Beta and the Public Beta are the same build, so it should work fine.

Thanks. You're absolutely right, I'd think it should work too. I've just been reading conflicting reports so I'd just wanted to confirm someone has that actual combination before I install the WatchOS BETA this evening.

Has anyone experienced issues with the battery whenever you start playing with apps in the dock? Against my better judgement,I keep trying different apps in the dock and it isn't took long before my battery starts to drop more rapidly. I can't blame the beta or the apps because all but one that I have are written for OS2.

Shouldn't the apps be optimized for OS3, though?

You won't see apps optimized for os3 until os3 is released. Only carrot has a test version for os3 and it works great. So far, not a single app that I have has been updated for os3 and I think that is normal.

I was thinking more the native Apple apps (which likely are optimized already ) vs non Apple apps

It's likely something in the configuration that you and @stevenamani share. I've done several tests with beta 6 and my alarms are working fine. Apple wants to find the race condition that you guys are experiencing.

I only put the apple apps in the dock for the battery reason - I put a couple of non apple apps there and the battery drained real fast. Since I put only messages, activity, Calendar ,Timer, Home ,now playing, weather (stock) and now playing, I get 18-20 hours out of the watch :)

My experience exactly with battery life. I removed non apple apps from the doc until these apps release os3 watch app updates.

Another thing I just noticed:
If you get a notification while being in the notification list the notification doesn't popup in your face. It just lands in the list now. Don't know when this came, but never noticed before. In watchOS 2 and before that definitely interrupted with the popup even though you were in the list.
