Only English + Chinese (trad + simplified) has ever been announced. Why would you think that changed in the GM?Quick question to all GM users: Is it now possible to use the scribble feature in other languages than English and Chinese?
If not I would be very disappointed with this 419€ watch.

Really? You don't make use of ä, ö or ü at all? Huh. Komisch. Sie haben letzte Mal, dass ich Deutsch gelernt.Because it's a no brainer since the characters are still the same and the dictionary is the only difference.

I have two watches - a stainless and a gold aluminum. I installed the 3.0 beta on my stainless and so far (~6 hrs) it's working quite well. Running the public beta of iOS 10 on my phone as well.Alright...I'm itching for WatchOS3. Since I'm not a developer, I'd have to load it using one of those profile links. Would you do this at this point, if you were me? Or should I just show some patience and wait 1-2 weeks? This is the upgrade, of all of them, that I really, really want! </endchildishrant>
I suspect it will come, but Apple needed to cover their 2 largest markets first. I'd watch for additional languages in 3.1 and beyond.Because it's a no brainer since the characters are still the same and the dictionary is the only difference.
I decided to wade in based on inputs here and on Reddit, including from an apparent Apple employee. Worked like a charm. Awesome OS. Really does make the Watch feel like a completely different product! Going to take a while to re-train myself not to swipe down for Glances, though.I have two watches - a stainless and a gold aluminum. In case something broke, I left my other watch on the 2.2.2 release.
If it were my only watch, however, I probably would have waited until the general release.
Besides the fact that those are not how the letters are presented in a dictionary, nor is there a precedent for letting two separate letters combine into one, that's not the issue here. The scribble feature takes into consideration grammatical context when you scribble letters. It's not as simple as letting you make up letters into words.Ä = ae
Ö = oe
You do see a pattern here?

When you say "before" you are talking prior to the 8th century, so I'm guessing we should start clamoring for runes to be accepted next huh?First of all, before there were ö,ä & ü, the people in Europe used the double character representation.

Instead of whining about it, submit your resume to Apple and offer to help write the code to enable another language. But if you are unwilling to help by just enabling another language on your iOS device and head over to your watch, but start a conversation about my language, then I don't know what else to say.
Instead of whining about it, submit your resume to Apple and offer to help write the code to enable another language.
Then, after you've contributed to the codebase, come back and tell us what you succeeded in doing. After that, we can whine at you for not adding even more languages.
Nope.Are you on dope?
In the case of ae, that ligature was first used in manuscripts in the 8th century, when Christianisation happened in Scandinavia, and old norse was translated from runes to the latin alphabet. The umlaut-a arose in Germany sometime after 1100 A.D. I have answered your question fully twice over, so how you keep whining about a feature that you somehow imagine would be "enabled" from the last beta to the GM (hint: it's not) is beyond me.8th century? lol. Whatever man. Could you please stop talking bs and get this back to topic and just answer my question or just be silent if you have nothing to say?
Nope.
I just understand that there are people on the other side of that thing, writing code to build into the OS, who have gotten this far in the Scribble feature and are working on compatibility for more languages.
There was an old Steve Jobs video where he says, "Every thing you see was made by people no smarter than yourself. And once you realize that, the whole world opens up."* Point being, you are just as capable as anyone else of building the things we use.
So, like I said, get cracking on learning how to code and go work on this watchOS thing. Otherwise, you sound like a teenager complaining about Mom not making brownies this week.
*(may be an inexact quote, but I'm going off the top of my head)
You know that it was enabled in some beta stage and worked well? https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/how-is-the-scribble-feature-on-the-watch-os-3.1977621/page-2
And I just made a question here. No reason to be such a ********.

I am fluent in five languages and would love to see my native language (Norwegian) supported. However, instead of whinging and having unrealistic expectation I understand why these things take time to develop and often do not work as well as when applied to English. There are different set of grammatical rules (hello multiple tenses and gendered subjectives!), special characters and letters and different cultural modes and sociolects to take into consideration.
But do go ahead and tell me how I'm BSing you.

You mean while playing? The + to the left of the volume button adds it your library. Or you click the ... button to the right to have the options to add/remove to library, like or dislike.Any way to add music to the library from the Apple Watch?
Not sure if I am missing something. On a previous beta I was able to do so, but with the latest version I am only finding the option to change volume.
