Hmm, that’s interesting. I looked on the store app and see what you mean. Is yours the LTE version? Maybe that’s the difference, as you can see from this screenshot, the non-LTE like mine, aren’t shown with this color combination.
Yeah, I do have the LTE watch. You’re sure you don’t have that color combo for the face if you scroll through the options? I have a bunch of color options.

it had been so long since a watch band related announcement I almost forgot that Timmy was running Apple for a bit there

WHILE regularly updating all Mac and iDevice lineups.

But I guess that is just too much to ask, for today’s Apple.

Give me a break, the product line was 1/3 what it is now and there were plenty of whining back then, go look in this very forums archive. Rose colored glasses are really annoying.

Most times when something is not updated, it's Intel dragging their damn feet, complain to them. The Mac Pro and Mac mini are probably the only significant current hole in the lineup.

Preventing the watch from checking your pulse? Weird.

Edit: never mind. Just saw a picture. That looks ridiculous.
I like my knock off one!

I really want the old classic buckle band back. That's what's keeping me from buying a leather one. I loved the old oval buckle.

Double tour Hermès bands have been around since 2015 when it was released for Series 0 Apple Watch Hermès.

They’ve also been sold with traditional Hermès watches long before smart watches.

It’s not a new thing.

My wife and I love the leather loop style, but at $150, we'll stick with the lower quality ripoffs. I wouldn't mind a $29-39 price point, but Apple's markup on these is insane. I guess we'll stick with $12 eBay bands, and have enough color variety that they will last as long as a single Apple one.

The leather loop is made with actual leather and magnets embedded in the band for nearly infinite sizing options.

That band is worth more than 30 or 40 bucks. I have several.

I get not wanting to pay for quality, but let's not be totally cheap. You could probably find one for less than 150 on eBay in great shape, but not for what you want to pay. You can find knockoffs of that style on eBay, so if you like the look but don't really care about the quality, you could try there.

Was hoping for a new leather loop. We need more leather loop options, Apple!

That band has come in black, midnight blue, brown, tan, gray, white, and cosmos blue. What color did you need?

I think it would look good in an olive drab green or a hunter green, myself.

Maybe a red.

Please do red properly! Ha. Apple seems to think red is practically orange... or pink.

Agreed. I want a really rich red.

Knockoff "silicone" sport bands tend to be horrible. Some feel powdery, smell, attract dust, and will break over time. Now why would you risk an expensive watch to something that is cheap from a China alley. Apple's bands will last, are comfortable, and totally live up to the quality.

The official leather loop is genuine leather, just like the classic buckles. A cheap one on eBay is fake thin leather, thins out, and will show distortion over time. Let's not talk about the cheap magnet.

Apple isn't in the business of cheap.

That wording comes straight from the CEO's mouth of Tim Cook.

If you wanted cheap accessories you shouldn't have bought an Apple Watch.

I just came back from buying the black sport loop after buying and return 2 off brand ones from Amazon that I didn’t like

While I noticed the difference immediately- $53 with tax is a lot. I do love it on my SS AW2 and it’s more casual than the milanese loop.

At $30- I would have a lot more bands but $53 with tax I will stick with my 4 for now

I believe the LTE version Nike loops come with the coordinating faces while those faces are omitted from others.

It seems like that would put pressure on your wrist by pushing the watch face constantly.

...gotta say that looks ridiculous?! The way that the watch gets pulled to the left by the strap, so the strap is not centred on the watch just looks totally wrong :

Yes, that’s a knock-off as she mentioned in her post. The official Hermès band does not appear to do that, but costs significantly more.

Most knockoff bands connect horribly and they ruin the look more than anything else about a knockoff.

Third party bands that do not connect poorly tend to be more expensive. There are companies that make Hermes-style bands with nice connectors and they charge more, but certainly not Hermes money. As in, you could get a band for 50-100 dollars instead of 330 dollars, etc.
