Apple Watch Order Statuses Shifting to 'Preparing for Shipment'

I had the same thing happen, the address attached to my card was my work address. If you go into the ApplePay settings, there is a spot for default shipping, phone number etc, but if you tap on the card itself in the settings, there is another spot for default billing address. That was where mine was wrong.
 
Misery loves company. My confirmation was :03 with the first ship window. Ordered the 38 sport space grey with black band. Still processing. The $.25 that Apple put on my debit card is still there. I'm going to scream!!
 
I just cancelled my 38mm SS black sports. Decided the last thing I need is another device shackling me to the cloud. Feels good :)

I'll get a next gen most likely that's not as thick.
 
Yea I'm getting down. Got email confirmation at 3:03am EST for 38mm SG Sport with black band. No charge, no updated status. Being delivered to Center City, Philly.

Obviously I can wait, just excited. And leave for vacation on Saturday. Was really hoping to have it Friday to bring with me. Oh well. Perhaps there is still a slight hope something will happen today.

EDIT: Also was in the 4/24-5/8 window as well.

Still processing. Credit card has not been charged.

One thought (or really, an obsessive theory) I had: Usually when I order Apple products, they are delivered by FedEx, not UPS. I'm wondering if the reason some people who were among the first to order haven't received their preparing to ship notification is due to the carrier used. In other words, people with a UPS delivery have a notification, but those depending on FedEx to deliver have not. Again, an obsessive theory. I just want my watch.

Just checked my order for the 42 SG sport watch. I ordered at 3:04am est. Was pushed to May 13th-27th delivery.

No change in status, still says Processing, Barclay card not charged. Apple is usually pretty good about shipping earlier than what the order says but in this case I think the 5/13 date is pretty firm so not expecting it to change overnight or anytime soon.
 
Flight tracker

Someone posted this yesterday, a UPS flight tracker: http://flightaware.com/live/iphone

Although that tracker was for the iPhone 6, it seems to be serving the same purpose for the watch. I kept my eye on it yesterday, and none of the credit card charges started to appear for anyone until the first of those planes had landed.

Since there's another seven hours to go until that happens today, I'd say everyone is safe to get back to work and not worry about this until ~5:30pm EST :)

42mm SG Sport - Confirmation: 3:04am EST - Still processing - 4-6 weeks

When I put the watch in my cart it was still 4/24-5/8, but by the time checkout finished (used Apple Pay), it said 4-6 weeks. So who knows ...

Why would a flight be coming from Korea though?
 
I'm a grown man yet find myself checking my bank every half hour or so, following this thread watching and waiting for a joyous UK orderer. I got my confirmation 3 minutes after ordering opened. 42 sport Space Grey; Nothing yet. I can't take this for much longer. Apple have made a watch that has stopped time.
 
My 42mm ss milanese loop changed to preparing for shipment yesterday around 1830 eastern. My order confirmation email was 301 on the tenth, however.
 
Id rage pretty hard if my date slipped out of the launch window. But right now I just hope I can get it before I have a 10k on mothers day weekend. That is ultimately all I'm worried about. Don't want it in limbo while I'm on vacation. :(

I hope i'm one of them .... I don't really wanna wait a month....
