A raised lip around the screen and a crown guard seems to indicate this is actually a more rugged version of the AW.

Not sure why Apple keeps aligning left/right buttons; makes it awkward to press the buttons with a squeezing action without pressing both buttons...

I'm surprised they kept the crown. I really thought they'd move to touchpad strips on both sides, but maybe that's too expensive.

That new button better be touch id or something.

i can't guess better

It’s pretty safe to assume better battery life and durability here, but features wise will there be parity between the Pro and the 8 standard?

Apples sense of design went to **** as soon as they decided it was acceptable to put a big plastic bean on the back of an iPod for its wireless antenna and they’ve been making ugly decisions ever since
Sure, but this is on a whole other level.

I refuse to believe this is real, but we'll see on Wednesday I guess.

You guys are crazy. It is literally just a more rugged/edgy version of what we currently have.

I like that the proportions of the screen aren’t as long and thin. This screen looks more square.

I’ll hold my final judgement for in person, but this thing looks like it was inspired by a public park toilet. Jony Ive come back!
Well, I didn't think it was quite that bad, but now that you mention it...

I just thought the protrusion on the right side looked like the ugliest thing I've ever seen on a watch. I'm not really in need of a "rugged" watch anyway, but I might have considered it if it had more sensors. Not anymore.

Maybe i will look to the regular serie 8 if it is this design for the rugged 8, even if i need a sport-smartwach

I like the fact that it’s completely different and not just a slightly larger AW8. Because then everyone will be crying that Apple played it safe and can’t innovate.

But I’ll reserve judgement once I see the real thing. But this is meant to be rugged and functional, not some jewelry you might wear in the office.

The extra button is a game changer. This physical button along with longer battery life will certainly attract Garmin/Polar/Coros users.

I'm curious about the weight of this thing. As a runner, extra weight from the watch can be annoying. For example, the SS version is noticeably heavier when running.

The Series 7 and 6 are gonna hold their value for a long time.
