Apple Watch Series 3 Pre-Order Thread

Ordered a AWS3 Space Gray Alluminum GPS + Cellular at 3:02am est via the iPad app. Changed to “preparing to ship” a little while ago. Maybe I’ll get lucky with an early delivery. Happened with an iPhone a few series back. Won’t hold my breath though.
 
Really excited. I have enjoyed my original stainless steel model so I sprang for the edition this time. I figure if I kept this one for over 2 years I should get a good 4 or more out of this one. Shopping bands now. Really excited. A little bummed some of the bands are delayed but not that big of a deal.

I ordered an Apple Watch Series 3 Silver Aluminum, GPS model. Launch day pickup at the Apple Store. My first Apple Watch!

At 12:03 AM (PDT), I pre-ordered a 42mm Space Gray S3 (GPS + Cellular) with black sport band. It should be delivered on Launch Day! Woo-hoo!

Does anyone know how they ship here in the US? (California, to be more specific) USPS? UPS? FedEx?

After completing this order, I ordered a couple of watch bands from Amazon (woven nylon—black and a Milanese Stainless Steel loop in silver). They'll be here tomorrow.

I'm upgrading my series 0 Space black with link bracelet, its nice to see that the old bands still work since the black link bracelet is $549! and the black Milanese is $200! Glad I don't have to buy those again.

My 42mm stainless steel with white Sport band has moved to preparing to ship. Order confirmation email came at 3:04am EST.

I'm using the same logic. I'm upgrading to SS this time from an original S0 Black Aluminum Sport. I've used it over 2 years and it still looks great. No dings or scratches. So I figured I might as well spend the extra cash and get the nicer one since I made the other last so long.
 
For those like myself who were wondering: spoke to a rep at the Apple Store today and they confirmed that S3 LTE Watch will not be able to connect to wifi without an iPhone present. So if you leave your iPhone at home, then you're on LTE. Would like to see LTE and Wifi independence but just letting everybody know.

Based on past experiences, I'm guessing either UPS direct from China, or FedEx from a warehouse in the US. We should be getting some tracking info soon!
 
I just ordered a base aluminum cellular with sport band. I'm hoping to be able to get the SS w/ Milanese loop for "points" through my employer, but they told me that they don't know if and when it'll be added to the catalog. So I pre-ordered cheaper one just in case. I'll return it if I can get the SS one. Delivery estimated ~10/13.
 
I noticed that I still had an older Android tablet on my account, well out of contract and I haven’t used it in quite awhile. So.....

Ordered a 42mm Aluminum Cellular with black sports band. Will deliver 9/22!!
 
For everyone that's order has moved to preparing to ship have you been able to get any tracking info yet?
Every year I forget how we look it up using the order number. Isn't it the order number minus part of the numbers?

Sometimes the order number works in the UPS track by reference field, other times I've been able to get the billing phone number to work, but haven't had any luck so far.

If you have a ups mychoice account it should just pop up there.

I ordered from b&h as well as it was $40 cheaper with no sales tax. I was told that they will receive the watch on the 22nd, but are closed so they will ship out the watches on the 25th or 26th.

My order includes 2 Apple Watches. One watch is preparing to ship and the other watch is processing. Both still have the same delivery date 9/22

I wondered about that holiday affecting shipping. Thanks for the info. I think I can wait a few days. Price is right with no tax.
 
just looked my space black 42mm with black sport band is preparing for shipping as well as my mom's iPhone 8!
