Unboxed and wow, this product screams quality. It actually surprised me in a couple of ways which I’ll explain. The watch has only one negative aspect and it’s the finishing. The titanium honestly looks like a regular aluminium AW model. It doesn’t have the sheen of the Edition Ti models and it looks more like a Starlight colour.
Build quality wise it is sturdy. The moment I lift the watch from the box I knew this is a tank. The crown, side button and the orange button are all easily accessible and provide sufficient feedback when pressed.
I got the Alpine loop as you can see. Initially I thought it’s gonna be tough to put the hook on and off but in typical Apple fashion, IT JUST WORKS! It took me less than a second to get the hook into the individual loop and took me about the same time taking it off. The fit is just nice for my small wrist. I’ve attached some front and barrel shots to compare. For some reason the front shots make the watch’s “lug to lug” length longer than it actually is.
This device isn’t rushed to the market. It feels like Apple took their time and worked for a long time to come up with this.
I wish I could keep this but my SBTi S7 still serves me well.
