Looks like a great watch judging from the pictures in this thread. I’m still a little hesitant because of its size, gotta check it out in stores before buying, my wrist isn’t the biggest, and I don’t want to wear a Pip-Boy on my wrist.

Hello, has someone tried their old Braided Solo Loops on their new Ultra? Do you think they still mostly fit, or are they slightly looser on the bigger case?
I've purchased a Braided Solo for my dad but he's receiveng his AW Ultra tomorrow and I'm wondering it the BSL size still apply to the Ultra. Thanks!

It arrived.
Started to pair it to my watch, and I had forgotten about the 5 watch limit per phone, so I had to unpair my trusty S4 I do yard work and whatnot with. Alas.

You're really hung up on the screen size, you are aware that the target audience for the Ultra are more concerned about the other features such as battery life, screen brightness and the action button and could care less about the full name of who sent a text message not being displayed.
Also going to reiterate what some others have said, the display being flat makes it look so much better and it feels more useable
A bit of the S7/8 45mm displays are curved out and that's accounted for in the measurement, the flat display on the ultra is just clean, I actually just hate the curved edges now after seeing this lol
This is a better product than I had anticipated prior to getting one in hand myself, the subtle differences make a big difference and my s7 SS 45mm feels like a toy now

This watch case has very different character, so I’m going to be swapping bands more often instead of leaving my sport band on 24/7.
That is not a flaw, and again the target audience could care less; you're on a Mac enthusiast forum droning on and on about the top row of the screen having a different geometry than the standard Apple Watch and acting like you just discovered the next antennagate. You didn't and you are obviously not the target audience for the Ultra so stick with your S7, return your Ultra and as they say you do you.
I love it! I was scared all day but it looks good on my 18 cm wrist. It looks nice with the ocean and sport band. Thickness is there but after 4hours it looks normal to me
The Ocean loop almost feels like a foam, it's very soft. The overall watch is lighter than you'd expect.
I like it a lot. I do wish they had used more of the available screen real estate, but that's for next year.
I like the brightness & the feel of the glass - my fingers seem to slide more easily.
I have the starlight alpine loop. I ordered the unicorn band - trail loop - but it will be a couple of months before it arrives. The alpine loop is comfortable but it is a pain to move the clip thing to adjust the size. I'll get used to it.

Received my Ultra. Coming from a Series 7 Hermes AW. Not sure what to think so far. I am not sold on the two bands I got, the Ocean band and Alpine band. I prefer how easy the Apple Solo Loop bands are to take on and off and also how comfortable they are. Ocean and Alpine not quite as easy to take on/off. I could always just wear a Solo loop. Will decide over the weekend, if this is a keeper or just keep my Series 7.
Traded in my 3 cellular to get the Ultra with alpine green. The display is so much bigger and brighter than the 3! I love it!! It thicccc!!
While all the old bands work, the ones I have, nike sports band and Milanese do not look good on the watch as they are not wide enough. Apple needs to make a new set of metal and silicone bands specifically for the Ultra.

The screen alone is worth it! The brightness on the flat display makes a world of difference! I am completely in love with this! Add the battery life on top of that and wow wow wow

I'm struggling. Can't decide to wear a Mid-Night or Yellow one first. Yellow one stands out so much.
One more with a grey/black sport band and night mode on. Love that feature.
