I think so. I have skinny wrist and it fits fine (160mm)
Thanks. I upgraded to the AW8 SS and now I am doubting very hard which one I should have chosen. As you said it’s a tool watch. I am not a sporter at all. I just do daily walks. But the Ultra design is also growing on me. My wrist is 175mm. Mind sharing a picture?

This Apple Watch Ultra is just amazing! APPLE NAILED IT!!!

Anybody have the white divers' band that they can try on a Series 8/7/6? I saw it quickly at the Apple Store and it looked quite nice. I think it would suit a stainless steel Watch. At $129 (CAD), it's a bit more than an impulse purchase. If anyone has any pics, please share.

EDIT:
View attachment 2077311UPS just delivered mine..:)

Got a Watch Series 6/7/8 to test that band on please?

@Kylo83 said in his original post that both watches were on smallest text size.

I’m not sure what is up with his picture of the watches side by side, but both my watches abbreviate the contact name when you switch from the message list to the actual message. For example: John Smith becomes J Smith. The only thing that doesn’t abbreviate is an actual phone number which is also cut off on both watches.

I’ve had Series 0, 6 and 7, all aluminium. My first thoughts on the Ultra was it’s heavy! Not as chunky as I was expecting and I was expecting the orange button to be rubberised but it looks pretty smart.

I bought it to use as a dive computer - here it is against my old Suunto Stinger computer - sizes are similar.

So are you saying you can't reproduce @Kylo83's photo which clearly shows the Ultra shortening the name and the series 7 showing the full name, with the same screen content.

Update. Watch was at 100%. Took it off the charger 45 min ago. It has always on display. Battery life is still 100%. Um wow. At this rate would last 4 days without any other use. If i were to guess how it would perform with casual use and gym. Id wager we can get almost 2 days of charge on the watch without even using low power mode.

Update again 1 hour 10 min. Still 100%. How in the world.

Amazing pics! Good decision in choosing the ocean bands! They are so much nicer than promotional pics and super comfy and not that bulky.

Are you keeping both ocean bands?

Yes, keeping them both and thinking about ordering the AW Ocean Band in white and completing the set. What's another $100.00 right? This AW is easy going over $1000.00+ US dollars for me. But it's worth it.

So, my only question to Ultra owners is whether there is any real estate gained on the watch face over the Series 7/8?

I keep reading the Ultra screen is no bigger than the 7/8. On the other hand, I read reviews that say that texting and even using the calculator is much easier to use on the Ultra? Did Apple perhaps just do some tweaking on the pixels?
It's 1.5% larger - Text can be slightly bigger (and it is noticeable) and it's enough to have 6 data fields instead of 5 when in the fitness app.

Anyone have a Hermes Orange sport band that can put it on the ultra and take a pic? I want to see how it looks from a size/fit and also Orange band to Orange action button specific lol.

I know my request is ridiculous, but I have an Ultra on the way and I want to pick up a Hermes Orange Watch Band to go along with it because I prefer the silicon, but need to see the color matching first. Thanks in advance if anyone has this pairing and can hook it up <3
Posted these in the first couple of pages in this thread.

Thanks to everyone sharing their pics and impressions. I'm still on the fence whether to get the Ultra or a SS S8. I currently have a SS S5. I plan to try the Ultra out at my local Apple Store. I do want to know what your opinion is on the color of the Action Button. Do you like it? Is it too distracting? Tacky? Or you don't notice it after a while. I know it's meant to be orange. Thanks!

How many slots from the end of the watch does everyone wear their alpine loop?

My wrist is 155mm, size S alpine loop and I’m in slot 7 from the end of the watch.

Just wondering whether I should exchange for a size M loop instead.

I have the same size Alpine loop and my wrist is 165mm. I'm on slot 9. Yep I screwed up my order but at least it's usable still. If you're not having any issues taking your hand in or out of the loop then it fits.

Am I able to exchange my strap for a different size? Even though it was the strap I initially ordered?

its literally smaller small that series 7 because of rounded corners and bezels
This is incorrect - it's 1.5% larger and has a greater pixel count. It's on the Specs on the Apple Website. I'd suggest that the earlier pic hasn't got the text size set to the same level as the S7 next to it.

Okay so this is my perspective on the ultra after wearing it for 12 hours. Yes it’s early days but this is my views on the Apple Watch ultra.
I have replaced my watch every year ever since the series 0 came out so I’m used to the annual advances that the Apple Watch has made and this is without a doubt the best watch that Apple have produced.
When I ordered it, I was dubious about the size but having a number of watches from Rolexes to Casios, there is no doubt that this is a man’s watch. It’s not as chunky as some of the traditional mechanical watches but still has a presence and is not as big as the photos suggest. I am an athlete and slim but I have 7.25 inch wrists and it fits my wrist perfectly with space to spare. I have loved all my Apple watches and had a number of stainless steels through to ceramic but being square, they have their place. Yes they look good when going to the office and yes they look good on a night out or on a date with a girl but for every day use when hanging out with the guys at a bar or trips to the coast, the previous watches do look out of place a little bit as they are far too dressy. The ultra watch fits in perfectly for time spent on leisure activities or with out the guys. It also looks good enough to be perfectly acceptable in the office with the right band because it oozes quality. If Apple produced a black version of the watch I would be all over it.
The advantages over the standard series 8 and series 7 make this watch well worthwhile. After wearing it for 11 hours I have lost 7% of battery life and with my Series 7 I would’ve lost 16%. Yes it has a bezel but then so did the series 0 and series 2. I have no doubt that Apple will reduce the basel next year to make the screen even larger. As well as a superior battery life, the screen is bright and I mean really bright and even AOD seems 75%as bright as a series 7 fully lit. The screen is only marginally bigger than the 7/8 but it seems a lot bigger because it’s a flat screen and certainly is easier to read. It’s fast as well and though it doesn’t have a new processor, Apple seems to have tweaked it because it’s lightning fast and responsive. I’m not a huge fan of the new bands and I wore it with a Nike 45 mm band tonight and it looked absolutely great. The crown feels a lot studier then previous watches and is easier to operate and the watch shouts quality. Yes it is thicker than other Apple watches but not distracting or as thick as many mechanical mens watches and it certainly doesn’t look out of place on my wrist and I had a lot of admiring comments from people in a bar tonight. Without meaning to sound sexist this is certainly a man’s watch because of its footprint. The speakers are a lot louder than the previous watches and the microphone is super responsive. Every time I lift my rest and say “hey Siri” it picks up every time and I didn’t have nearly that same level of success with the series 7. The new faces with the options for eight complications is fantastic and every face looks bigger.
As I said, I was dubious about ordering the ultra but this was definitely the right decision for me. It may not be to everybody’s taste but don’t knock it until you try it. It has exceeded all my expectations and although it’s a watch designed for people that are extremely active outdoors and I only spent 10% of my time doing exercise, I think that Apple have got this exactly right and this would suit any casual admirer that is on the shelf about deciding whether to order a series 8 or an ultra.
Everyone in the stands thinks they are an expert but reserve judgment until you have one on your wrist and try it for a few hours. Believe me, for the soothsayers you may well be surprised.
