I went to an Apple Store on Sunday and they wouldn't let me just change my size S green alpine loop to a size M. So I just returned the whole watch combo.

Now just using my S7 until Apple online has stock. Been checking non stop the last 2 days but nothing for pick up :(
Glad I got large then. What do you reckon i can sell a S7 aluminium cellular for?

Check Bestbuy and Target. Both seem to have them off and on in stock with delivery by end of week.

again its the same size than 45mm with more rounded corners so kinda smaller, why do people saying its bigger?
It’s factually larger:

There is no question that it's a larger visible area on the screen compared to my old one. I'm not counting bezels - the display itself is larger.
The active area is 3% larger but has more rounded corners. So yes it it larger, but only by a small amount, not as much as people might be expecting or perceiving (or wishing?), and doesn’t warrant some of the superlatives used to describe the display size.
In comparison, the active area on the S7 is 20% bigger than the S6 and SE, a really significant and noticeable increase.

Wow. That looks super nice. What mm size is your Milanese loop? I have an old 42mm from the 1st Apple Watch and am wondering if it will fit and, if so, the lugs of the band will match up as well as your band to the case of the watch.
It's the 42mm version

I'm in Australia so we don't have Bestbuy. Target here doesn't sell Apple stuff.

It's noticeably larger than the S8 when set on the same text size. Not only do Apple's specs show this, side by side comparisons with the text size set the same also show this:

I noticed immediately in comparison to my 45mm SS S7. It is not only wider, but taller. The percentage difference in display area is 3.6%

The screen size being the largest apple offers in the toughest watch apple makes made a good impression on me for sure. But I wasn’t expecting a 49 mm ”older pebble style“ watch. I find the bezel on the Ultra quite svelte considering how robust the design is. Different strokes, different folks I guess.

Does anyone feel the Ultra glass is more prone to looking smudgy than the series watches? There’s something different about the glass, can’t tell what it is.

Its not the standard glass of the other watches. Sapphire glass has different behaviour.

I think we are in violent agreement. ;)
You are basically strenuously saying the same thing as I am

I’ve had a cellular AW since they were first available.

When I run or swim, I leave my iPhone behind.

I’ve run several marathons, and only run with my AW.

My marathon times are terrible, and the AW easily lasts the race. And that’s with Apple Music playing (not streaming) through an AirPod Pro.

I never even think about cellular. It’s just always enabled and kicks in when needed. I’d never have an AW without it.

Sorry for off topic a bit - but I’m running my first marathon next year. Do you use any particular settings on your AW to make it last? I have a cellular S5, and would like to keep cellular on, listen to music downloaded to the watch via my Beats Fit Pro. I don’t want to bring my iPhone.

$799 is great price. You will save that in weeks, with all the dates you won’t have to pay for when the ladies see you with iPad mini strapped to your wrist.
You must be living in a very small and superficial world.
Grow the F up bro. 😂

P.S.
You shouldnt bother with woman who judge you on the basis of what watch (or iPad 😉) you are wearing…
