My Ultra with Green Alpine is arriving today, looking forward to it. I was wondering how it will feel compared to my S7 Aluminum, and is it comfortable enough to sleep with?

As expected, the Ultra is noticeably heavier than the S7. However within the first hour of wear, it felt normal/the weight difference was an afterthought.
I’ve had no problems sleeping with my Ultra.
72% of the reason why I am sticking to orange alpine loop. LOL. j/k. (mostly.)
Very interesting post - thanks! There is a graphic that shows how Apple intends the extension to be set up, on the box I think. What you did looks like what I remember seeing. On the skin contact point, does turning off "wrist detection" help?
Weird question but does anyone else feel the new crown is too big? Depending on the placement of the watch at any given time it makes the crown hard to turn now where I never had that problem. Whether it be arm hair or it impacting my arm, I’m not sure.
I actually wear it fairly loose due to using the link bracelet. Honestly think it’s my arm hair but the new crown is just too big for my liking.
One thing I noticed between the series 4 I had and the ultra is that when my ultra is worn loose, I have yet to reenter my password (meaning it detached enough from my skin to lock the watch)
I believe it has to do with the added height and weight of the ultra keeping in contact with my skin under many more conditions.
Another reason why I love my Ultra.
You could always change the crown orientation. That works well.
So...half a day and a whole night of use so far.
Slept with it on - didn't notice it.
I have noticed it slightly more than I used to notice my S6 Nike previously, but that may be because it's new.
It does seem noticeably bigger, but it's not really noticeably heavier to me.
The Alpine Loop band is comfortable, but I have noticed that as the day goes on, it's feeling slightly tighter. I guess I swell during the day. I'll let it out by one loop.

Have slept with my Ultra (Ocean Band) on nightly for the last week and a half. I find it no less distracting than my older, Series 5 AW.
No, just cheap link bands. I don't have the Apple one, but my Tag Heuer link band never grabs my arm hair.
Ultra with green alpine loop, Hermès orange single tour leather band and Hermès Sport band.
I am really digging how much this longer battery life if fitting into my life and schedule.

I love the Ultra, but hate the sharp edge around the display, while not enough to cut you, but it bothers me, and it appears to be too easy to put a nick into.
Apple could have had a more rounded edge, and I hope next year's model does indeed address the issue.
I also love the larger battery. I've gotten well over three days on a charge, though nowhere near as good as Garmin watch.

So I've finally got my hands on the blue/grey trail loop this morning.
As someone who has used the Nike sport loop almost every day, the trail loop feels smoother, softer and more premium.
The blue accent really pops and it’s easily the most comfortable out of three types of ultra bands.
Definitely worth the wait!
