Apple Watch Ultra is here! First impressions and photos thread

Doesn’t really bother me. I can’t really see it as the tab is facing away from me. It does help you peel the band off.
Nice, will probably get one always like the comfort and perfect fit with the nike, apple online is 4 weeks now was 8 earlier in the week, still long wait, pays or maybe not to live near a apple store lol

what the lol

So I've finally got my hands on the blue/grey trail loop this morning.

As someone who has used the Nike sport loop almost every day, the trail loop feels smoother, softer and more premium.

The blue accent really pops and it’s easily the most comfortable out of three types of ultra bands.

Definitely worth the wait!

How does it feel in terms of how sticky the Velcro is compared to the Nike band?

This may be a big ask...

Anyone on here with 180-190mm wrists with a Large Alpine Loop able to take a few photos?

Would like to see how far the hook wraps around, and surely easier to get on/off over hand.

My action button has a completely different sound when pressed than the power button. PB makes a clicking sound, while AB makes no sound when pressed. Do you have the same problem?

Best Apple Watch yet. Really really enjoy both the look and feeling of this Ultra. No issues with small wrists (155mm) as many people ”screams about”.

Did order an alpine band in size M because the size Small did fit well once on the wrist but the struggle to get it thru the loop was a pain every day😅

I very much agree with this. I have over 40 sport loops in my collection. Historically one of my favourite band types! But the Trail loop is a much more modern and premium take on them. I hope they revisit some of the old colours with this new design.

WOW, finally a Apple Watch that doesn't feel and look like a toy lol. So comfortable and so glad I got alpine loop, can't see it coming off in the surf. I am 6"3 with a 190mm or so wrist and L band is perfect.
Very Happy, now to flog off the green S7.

Same wrist size here and thanks for sharing- that’s the setup I’m having an eye on too. Still satisfied with it?

I returned the M size alpine loop because my g hook was on the last loop, i have 150mm wrists.

How long can you usually go between charges in your experience?

I think i can go for 3 days? Not doing much exercise or driving instructions etc.

I did use the charger cable (fast charge) and a good PD charger this morning and it went from 22% to 100% in under and hour. really impressed with how fast it charges too.

I think it’s a great how so many people are amazed by the ultra once they get one. I know it’s not everybody’s taste but it’s the first redesign of an Apple Watch since 2015 and I love mine. The better battery life and increased screen brightness make it real winner for me and I think it’s gonna get even better once we see more apps been released for the ultra

I went to the Verizon store to check out the Ultra. It looks kinda big on me but I think I will adjust to it. I’m coming from a Series 7 41mm. I do not like the alpine band at all that’s why it’s not positioned properly.

My AWU just got delivered yesterday, with the Blue/Gray Trail band! Agree with you that it is the most comfortable and softest against my skin of all the Ultra bands (tried the Alpine and Ocean bands on in the local Apple Store), and was definately worth the wait! Coming from a Series 4 SB SS model, I barely notice the weight difference and am quickly getting used to the larger case on my wrist. So glad I got it and appreciate the new design and advantages of the Ultra model.
