I quite like the Alpine loop and won't be sending my green one back. The titanium does look good and matches the watch perfectly. And if you angle the hook a little, it goes on relatively easy with a tiny bit of practice.

However, I just think at $99 they are a little steep and won't be buying anymore when you could put a Midnight Solo loop on it for $49 and it would also look awesome.
Yeah I think I'll just buy a regular sport band because I have to return the whole watch as well even just to exchange the band... How much travel are you getting when you press the digital crown? It feels really short and mushy and rather unsatisfying haha. Pretty happy with everything else so far

I have 155mm wrist size but am considering exchanging my medium alpine loop to a large one. The G hook ends up in the centre of my wrist (like OP), so when I'm typing the hook grinds against the palm rest on my macbook... Aluminium is probably going to lose against titanium, don't want a stupid little hook to ruin the $$$$$ laptop lol
Same thoughts here. I’ve got a small and medium on the way. Although I tend to wear sport loops when I’m in the house anyway. But it’s a good point for consideration!

...thanks for taking the time to share your new gadget and your experiences.
Curious, with the watch face, are there any watch faces that are square, and thus truly show you how much screen real estate you actually have access to?

On my current Apple Watch, I typically use the California (square) or Meridian (square) watch faces.

I measure for a size 9 braided solo loop and sized down on the last I bought, to an eight. Anyone with similar sized wrist got a picture of their AWU to share?

I took pics of the contour face specifically to show this. Here you go.

Yes it is. I haven’t worked out how to use the extra clip part properly yet. Seems a bit tricky.

Was not sure about the Ocean band I ordered so was ready to dip into my strap collection but that looks great, thanks for posting.

@Boardiesboi the Ocean band looks so much better on you. I think the straps with the lugs make the watch look even bigger so straps without metal lugs suit the smaller wrist better.

From the first post, I noticed the images with the various bands. No issues with the connection area for the 'old' bands, they fit and stay in, no issue(s)? Thanks

Looks great on your wrist!

I wish I could pull it off on my wrist but I wear a size 4 in the braided loop so yeah.
Thank you, I’m size 7/8 with the braided loop so yeah would probably be a bit large for you. Worth trying it out though in store.

My wrist is 184mm. It feels very comfortable. Certainly doesn’t look too big and it’s not as thick as I thought it would be. 44 and 45 mm bands fit perfectly. I know the screen is only marginally bigger than the S7 and S8 but it does seen noticeably bigger and boy is that screen bright 🙂

@Boardiesboi I just realized the strap I ordered (green Alpine) is size small. I checked my wrist and it’s closer to 170mm…think the small will work? I don’t know what I was thinking and don’t think I can swap, but at least I have several other straps here worst case scenario.

Oh no!!! The size small only goes up to 160mm and you would find it difficult to fit your hand through it.

Also you probably won’t have enough strap to loop back to hook it through the slots.

Anyone have any pics of the starlight alpine? trying to get a good look at it before I choose between that and orange.

For those with Ocean Bands, how are you liking them compared to the prior sport bands and/or Nike bands?
