Wait, why are we doing this now...this decade still has one more year! Not that it is going to change but it seems odd to do this in the 9th year of the decade instead of the 10th

I know this is a bit off topic, but if the iphone were to switch carriers (like to verizon), would all of the apps still work? especially the ones I already paid for? Or would there be separate app stores- one for at&t and one for verizon?

The app store has absolutely nothing to do with the carrier.

I assume because they start at 0 and go to 9. 2000-2009 = 10 years.

Makes sense to me. The 1990's ended in 1999. The 2020's will end in 2029.

Jobs's turnaround at Apple has been nothing short of remarkable, no matter which metrics you are using.

This is always the sort of iNews, which puts a massive grin on my face. :D

I wonder if Micro$oft will win anything for them "Laptop Hunters ads" if they do it will be "most misleading advertising campaign of the year" LOL.

I think Apple's best designed products in top 5 to me are

5. 12'' PowerBook G4
4. Titanium PowerBook G4
3. G4 Cube
2. iMac g4
1. The new 13'' MacBook Pros

The "Silhouette" ads are absolutely classic. I have most of them saved in HD and I watch them sometimes just to inspire creativity! The newer more complex ones are especially breathtaking graphically! Between those and the "Get a Mac" ads, I can't think of many who did not copy them for various purposes.

P.S. Anyone in here have the "Island" "Silhouette" ad in HD they could post a link to?

Thanks

P.P.S. Now bring back the "Think Different" campaign coupled with product features! :)

I would add the beloved Powerbook G3 Pismo to that list. Two highly customizable expansion bays, FW400, decent display, rugged chassis, great Airport reception, and the sexy "Batman's Laptop" contoured body.

For 90% of what people do with laptops, that baby would still be totally functional today. I'd still be using mine if my black lab hadn't tripped over the power cord and wrecked the display. Pre-MagSafe. (sigh).

Are there any awards left they didn´t win?

:)

Congrats Apple.

Should be a great motivation for them to work even harder and bring on even more amazing products.

12" Powerbook is still my favorite Mac ever. It was also the first one I used for more than 5 minutes. It has a special place in my heart

the nike plus integration in the iphone 3gs is truly amazing. It has helped me be a better runner:D

Good luck with that.

That was indeed a beautiful piece of computer. I only owned one for a week before I realized I didn't really need a laptop at that time, but what a week it was. ;)

A curvy beauty that all these years later still looks better than 99% of PC laptops you see on store shelves today.
