And which of them revolutionized their market segments? Which of them are among the leading sellers in their field? Which of them makes the lionshare of the industry's profits?

I already said Apple made them popular.

Because Apple made them popular. There were touch screen phones before iPhones and tablets before iPads.

And why did they became popular? So popular in fact that it changed the whole way phones are nowadays.

Please don't say marketing. That only goes so far, i.e. no marketing would ever fix the crappy interfaces we had before (I still have scars from using a Motorola Timeport 260). Nokia had a very healthy marketing budget too.

Marketing made Tablets popular because Marketing made iPads and iPhones popular and the competition started competing with Apple.

So yeah, without the great marketing Apple does, tablets would not be popular now a days.

You're saying the only reason iPads and iPhones are popular is because of marketing?

It's a lost case arguing with you then, I won't even try.

Well duh, only way to get a product to sell is when you market it.... And Apple has great marketing.

Fixed that for you. Where is Microsoft's mobile OS now that they use Metro? DEAD.

Microsoft's Mobile OS is Windows Phone now, and it's not dead.

They went from Windows Mobile to Windows Phone.

Ein? That's a fact

For years Microsoft tried to put a Desktop OS on to a phone and tablet. Their awesome efforts resulted in scraping their interface. Hahahaha...

Apple understood that they had to design an interface specifically for a tablet. But, but tablets existed before an iPad. They were so awesome and so plentiful that Apple couldn't come along and destroy them in a minuscule amount of time... oh wait... they did...

And that what has to do with the fact that Windows Phone is a different operating system than Windows Mobile?

Yes, they tried putting Windows 7 on a tablet, not a phone. And I agree that it was a huge mistake, but they learned from it and now Windows 8 will be both Tablet friendly and Desktop friendly.

Apple did not understand nothing about being tablet friendly because iPad uses the same OS that the iPhone uses and that is not tablet friendly.

Android has a version for tablets only that is specifically for tablets.

Apple doesn't.

iPad is basically a big iPod Touch. Android Tablets are different from Android Phones and better for tablets.

Microsoft's Mobile OS is Windows Phone now, and it's not dead.

They went from Windows Mobile to Windows Phone.

Here's what actually happened:

Windows Mobile ----> Ballmer laughs and jokes about the iPhone ---> 10 years of work on Windows Mobile destroyed completely by Apple's incursion into the mobile market -----> MS in denial ----> MS tries to repackage Windows Mobile with more lame Windows Mobile stuff ----> MS in denial -----> MS in denial ----> MS in more denial -----> MS cobbles together Windows Phone (and actually calls it "Windows" Phone (LOL) 3 years too late ----> Consumers don't care ----> Consumers still don't care ----> Windows Phone fails to gain traction ---> Nokia gets involved ----> Now there are two turkeys instead of one ---> Nokia/Windows Phone devices hit the market and barely anyone notices.

The line between "comatose" and "dead" is pretty thin.

And they realized how stupid it was to have a tablet only version of their OS, and created ICS which is for both. Not sure what your point here is.

There's two versions of ICS, one for tablets and one for Phones... Not sure what your point here is.

More of this "If you don't like it, get out." attitude as if it's your site. Very odd. Especially so since you, nearly in the same breath, tell "these people" to go to other sites and then state that you don't know why you should leave because bla bla bla didn't read it.

I don't get it.

That's because you ignored everyone who has been telling anyone that's not 100% pro-Apple to leave for "Fandroid sites". I don't even own an Android phone, I don't know why I should even go to a "Fandroid site", yet I've been told numerous times to GTFO of Macrumors.

Maybe I'm just tired of it and turning it on my would-be accusers ?

This is what people were subjected to before an iPad. Hahaha...

I agree with you that the articles are not anti-Apple (and I think the CarrierIQ articles is favorable to Apple), but lately the vitriol from people with grudges against Apple is reaching a fever-pitch. And if you disagree with them you are called "irrational" "uninformed" "brainwashed."

Yet it's ok when the more "pro Apple" crowd calls anyone that doesn't 100% agree with Apple "hater" "fandroid" "troll".

Goes both ways really. Goes both ways. I'm kind of getting tired of getting called a "fandroid" even though I own an iPhone. Aside from the Android SDK installed on my MacBook Air, there's nothing Android in my home.

Did you bump your head this morning falling out of bed?

Oh yeah? LOL. You sure about that?

*Puts on Oletros hat*

Can you show me where it says that?

*Takes off hat*

The whole point of ICS was to have the same OS for both tablet and phone. You should try a little harder.

When you resort to ad hominem attacks, you have lost.
...
If you can't do that... buy a Droid.

Oh look, Pot calling the Kettle black. Why should I buy a Droid when I'm happy with my iPhone, just because I happen to not agree that Apple should get an injunction in Australia praytell ?

I know that. ICS is both for tablets and phones. But, when you use ICS for tablets, it's tablet friendly, and when you use ICS for phones, it's phone friendly.

That's what I meant.

Where as, iOS is for Tablets and Phones, but it's not tablet friendly, it's just a bigger iPhone without the phone.

So when you say there's one version for tablets and one version for phones, you meant there's not one version for tablets and one version for phones? Gotcha...
