Really curious about this. It can't be AirTags. A new product with completely new functionality would've been announced at one of their keynotes. They wouldn't just stealth launch it on their site. I frankly have no idea what it could be.......

Apple will be redesigning their entire laptop lineup, as well as the iMac, to better accommodate Apple silicon processors.
Look at the Mac Mini with M1. Lots of empty, unused space.
On top of that, when the lowest end MacBook Air with Apple silicon is outperforming higher end 16 inch MacBook Pros, it proves that there’s absolutely no need for Apple to continue with Intel.
Once Apple puts their own processors in the entire MacBook Pro lineup and the iMac lineup, that will be it for Intel. The only products that will most likely remain Intel for a long while are the iMac Pro and the Mac pro tower, but even those will eventually move over.
It makes absolutely no sense for Apple to introduce redesigns to their laptop lineup, specifically designed with their own silicon in mind, and then have to shoehorn an Intel processor into that. That’s not going to happen.
The M1, and future variance of apples processors, will allow for thinner, lighter, quieter, cooler computers, and Apple won’t be thinking about Intel once they switch over.
Apple themselves said they will continue with Intel products for a few more years, and, Intel of course supports x86 natively which ARM doesn’t and that is needed for a lot of the pro market.

Intel Macs and MacBooks? Apple did say there would be more Intel Macs in 2021. I'm also wondering if Apple will declare Big Sur as an LTS release (i.e. the last Intel compatible macOS but supported for five years). I know everyone (myself included) is excited about M1, but a lot of tech heads out there need certainty as there are some things that will take a good couple of years iron out*. I imagine anything Intel based will come sans fanfare.

* Virtualisation, for example.

If they were planning on a Mac mini redesign to accommodate Apple silicon, I don’t see why they wouldn’t have already done it. The size of the Mac mini is now dictated by the internal PSU and an apparent desire to keep the square enclosure. If they lose either one of those, they can make the Mac mini quite a bit smaller…but they chose not to.

I ordered several things on the Black Friday weekend and the only thing that didn't ship right away was an 11" iPad Pro, which isn't shipping till next week. I know there's supposed to be a major update next year but is it possible they might do a minor update to put in the A14 processor in the meantime so it doesn't look out of place beside the new Air? Just speculating...

A reduced-cost Apple TV !
To be honest, I'd be happy if they released an updated Apple TV 4K. I updated to a 4K this year when my old 1080p TV's backlight quit. The AppleTV HD looks good while watching media but terrible in the UI since the TV's upscaler is tuned for media not text or sharp lines (boxes), and certainly not the blur it uses. The dithering isn't good. I'd rather buy the 4K at a cheaper price (assuming they keep it around for a lower priced option).

I'd love it to be a new Apple TV. But I'm not getting my hopes up. Could it be an Intel Mac spec bump? Maybe, but I think Apple is going to make as few changes there as possible to get those machines in the rear view mirror quickly, especially considering the overall rave reviews of M1.

One thing that hasn't been discussed might be a new M1 Mac Mini SKU with 10gb Ethernet, which had been previously rumored, even with product numbers.
