When has Apple ever released a product at the same time or close to the launch of a Samsung product just to spite them?
I recall never. Apple releases products at their own cadence. Apple doesn’t give a flying hoot about when Samsung releases their products.
Apple used to love making product announcements on the same day as CES just to steal their thunder ;) See: first iPhone launch.

Maybe that 2020 16" MBP that you referenced a while back?
The one with 10th gen Intel Chips?
Although at this point, who aside from developers and people who need compatibility, would actually buy it given the performance we have seen with M1?

It's certainly not going to be some brand new product, because it wouldn't make sense for Apple to tell service providers "advised technicians to prepare for new product SKUs, new/updated product descriptions, and new/updated product pricing". So it's got to be an existing product line that has updated features and different pricing.

I can't imagine Apple releasing updated Intel Macs, unless they could do so at lower prices, in order to make them a bit more enticing against their own M1 Macs.

It's definitely not going to be anything in their iPhone lineup and I can't imagine it would be iPad related, given they already updated the non-Pro iPad line. Perhaps new iPad Pros, using new chips, 5G, perhaps mini-LED - at slightly higher prices?

The only other thing would be headphone related - maybe new AirPods?

iPad Pro with mini led(Crossing fingers)

I wish... I don't think they would release a brand new iPad Pro though with new screen technology and dump it in a press release. Not to mention this would be the second iPad Pro to be released this year. There is also no way there would be enough product available in time for Christmas with this late of a launch. I'd love to see it too, but I just don't think its feasible.

It's for sure just gonna be a minor accessory, no one should get their hopes up for new hardware, it'll be like Apple Socks for the iPhone or something

I’m holding off on a 4K Apple TV, but HBO Max announcing day and date streaming for all 2021 Warner Bros. movies accelerated my urgency to upgrade.
