With the renewed talk of AirTags, you then have to wonder if they’re going to be announcing both the regular AirTags and the AirTag Pros simultaneously.🤔
Hold out for the AirTags Pro Max, they'll be twice the size with a better camera and allow you to order Apple products just like how the Amazon Dash Buttons work

Well, colour me intrigued Apple. *Please don't be a new 16" MacBook Pro as I just bought on on a great deal and didn't think Intel had anything in their roadmap to suggest an update was coming...
just curious when would you be okay for apple to release a new 16" MBP? i'm looking forward to a redesign myself!

Following a busy fall season in which it hosted three events in as many months, Apple may have one more product announcement in store this year.

In an internal memo this week, obtained by MacRumors from a reliable source, Apple informed service providers that it has AppleCare-related changes planned for Tuesday, December 8 at approximately 5:30 a.m. Pacific Time. Specifically, Apple has advised technicians to prepare for new product SKUs, new/updated product descriptions, and new/updated product pricing, according to the memo.

Apple has issued nearly identical memos ahead of several previous product announcements. Shortly after announcing its iPhone 12 event this year, for example, Apple advised technicians to prepare for the same AppleCare-related changes, including new product SKUs, new/updated product descriptions, and price changes, on October 13 at approximately 10 a.m. Pacific Time, which is when the event began.

While it is unlikely that Apple will be hosting another event this year, 5:30 a.m. Pacific Time has been a common time for Apple to issue press releases introducing new products, such as a new 13-inch MacBook Pro in May 2020, the 16-inch MacBook Pro in November 2019, and second-generation AirPods in March 2019.

Last month, cryptic-yet-reliable Twitter user "L0vetodream" tweeted that there will be a "Christmas surprise from Apple," but it remains unclear which product(s) might be announced next Tuesday, if any. There have been countless rumors about Apple's item tracking AirTags, AirPods-branded over-ear headphones, and a new Apple TV with a gaming controller, but it is unclear if any of these products are ready to launch in 2020.

Given that AppleCare changes are expected, it is likely that any product(s) announced next Tuesday would have AppleCare+ coverage available, so we could be looking at new hardware. However, in the interest of tempering expectations, it is possible that the announcement could be for a minor accessory, or that no announcement transpires at all.

All in all, we'll be keeping our eyes on the Apple Newsroom for a potential announcement next Tuesday at 5:30 a.m. Pacific Time.

I would love a new Apple TV with 120hz refresh rate, new remote, 8K and siri enabled, is that too much to ask?

If this is true, it can't be an update or replacement of an existing product, since that would just generate returns. It's unlikely to be a major new product initiative, as this is just a weird time to do a major launch. If the story is true, it's possibly a stocking stuffer level of product. Or possibly a product aimed solely at professionals, if there is such a product type; since these would not be tied into seasonal gifting, and could be used to absorb end-of-year budget surpluses.

Yeah its gonna be march..sucks but its OK I am willing to wait..will trade in my iPad Pro 2018 11 inch to get it..that mini led will be the last ipad that I buy anyway the specs will be amazing

Have you noticed your 2018 battery life starting to suffer a bit? Every since iOS 14 mine has been struggling a little. Still as smooth as glass but it doesn't hold its charge nearly as well as it used to.

Apple themselves said they will continue with Intel products for a few more years, and, Intel of course supports x86 natively which ARM doesn’t and that is needed for a lot of the pro market.
That’s why they’re updating the 16 inch MacBook Pro, and they recently updated the iMacs. They have the latest Intel processors, and they will be supported for the next 5 to 7 years. But once Apple moves the product line over fully to their own processors, they won’t be making future Intel models.
Once Apple makes variance of the iMac with an Apple Silicon processor, they will not make another Intel version.
Once Apple moves the MacBook Pro line entirely over to Apple silicon, the Intel MacBook line will die.
Let’s look at previous examples:
June 2005: Intel transition is announced
October 2005: Apple introduces new iMac with updated power PC G5 processors.
January 2006: Apple moved the MacBook Pro and the iMac over to Intel, and never looked back.
Expect very similar things this time
The August 2020 iMac, and the December 2020 MacBook Pro will be the last Intel iMacs and MacBook Pros.

If they were planning on a Mac mini redesign to accommodate Apple silicon, I don’t see why they wouldn’t have already done it. The size of the Mac mini is now dictated by the internal PSU and an apparent desire to keep the square enclosure. If they lose either one of those, they can make the Mac mini quite a bit smaller…but they chose not to.
Limited processor availability. That’s why the Intel models are still around, and they have advantages like 4 USB-C ports, options for more ram, and options for 10GB Ethernet.
Because the Intel models are still sticking around, Apple decided to opt for the same exact design, to keep the Mac mini uniform across-the-board. Once the Intel models are completely discontinued, that is when you will see a redesign of the Mac mini, along with options for much more specifications.

I also find it funny that people are hoping its airtags when we have no real idea of what AirTags look like, how they function, and what the cost/subscription model will be, let alone that they are something that even exists at this point.

Either that or a firmware update for the new M1 Laptops to upgrade the webcam to 4K. Sorry Mac mini. :p

yup, it better not be as i finally got my 3rd apple tv 4k (the previous 2 i got at launch in 2017) for a tv in my fitness room in preparation for fitness+... it burned me bad to spend $179 (well, i did get a $50 black friday gift card) on it when amazon has a 4K/HDR/Atmos firestick for like $27 last week...
There's a reason they sell those firesticks so cheap. There is so much advertising and content that needs to be purchased prominently displayed on them it makes the experience much less appealing (at least to me). The Apple TV user interface is just so much better. The FireTV also has a paltry amount of RAM so that if you have a lot of apps it constantly has to archive and reload them. The form factor on the other hand is great for travel. Take a firestick with me whent i visit my parents or stay in a hotel. If Apple made a AppleTV stick I would buy one in heartbeat!
