Not everyone celebrates Christmas (or whatever holiday you want to name).

But yes, some might want to have off so it would be nice if for holidays they asked for volunteers to work.

What really erks me is when a store like CVS, Eckerd, or Walgreen's is open on Thanksgiving or whatever holiday like they are performing some service and the pharmacy isn't even open.

Most Holidays (especially Christmas) have transcended their original purposes to be more of National Day Off. 98% of people "celebrate" Christmas in some manner or form. My family certainly doesn't celebrate the religious side of it, but its an important day when everyone can get together without having to worry about work.

I just believe its asinine that companies make it out to be like they are performing some service when they are out to make a buck at the expense of employees who already work a crappy job. I want to see Steve Jobs in there working on Christmas Day or Thanksgiving or New Year's Day or whatever holiday.

Working At An Apple Store Is Not A Crappy Job - It's An Honor And A Priviledge. I am sure I am not the only one here who would be happy to work all holidays every year cheerfully. You are not empathic with millions who would love to have a job working anywhere on holidays - especially at an Apple Store.

Hey all,

Thought I'd say hello from inside the store! I got to see Steve (right in front of me actually, I didn't even notice at first!), and got some pictures of him. James Woods and Kevin Bacon are both here as well. It's pretty damn crazy in here, and a lot of fun. The glass staircase and cube is amazing! This whole thing was worth the wait. I was outside since 2 in the afternoon, and braved some absolutely horrible pelting rain for a while, but I was #68 in here!
