I can't believe these morons are going to bring out the iPhone X plus the size of the iPhone 8 plus. Instead of just giving us the SCREEN SIZE of the iPhone 8 plus in a smaller body (bezel-less). Nobody enjoys carrying around a phone that large!!!! It's been the only complaint of the plus size phones for 3 generations... we love the screen size... we hate the big bulky phone. How is this not completely obvious to anyone with half a brain cell?

Not me, iphone Plus all screen would be AWESOME!

I’ve been looking for this exact comment since those rumors about X Plus started. And I simply cannot believe that you are the only person I’ve seen who did it.

Seriously, what is happening to people’s taste? Why does no one accept that something that is TOO BIG exists and yes, this is it?!

Because what's TOO BIG for one person isn't for another, i loved my 7 Plus device and was hoping that they would do it with the iPhone X but they didn't. Your not the only person in the world and MANY people like the size of the Plus devices.

You don’t speak for everyone. I’m perfectly fine with the old Plus size and now you’ll get another inch of screen. I also bet the new device is slightly smaller than the old Plus.

I’m perfectly fine with a large phone, particularly if it had a 6.5 inch display. I don’t have tiny baby hands though.

Speaking as someone with large hands, the X was a difficult adjustment from the Plus. The Plus size model would be great and I can't wait. Every time I see a Samsung S8 Plus i am so jealous of the screen size. Phablets are awesome...

I dont understand how people use small phones. What's happening to people's taste?

Ok so my check list so far..
Plus version of iPhone X... Check
Possible Gold Color Option...Check
White bezel front.... TBA
Ok not bad so far 2/3

“Bezel-less” for a reason. Like current X I’m sure it will just be the black OLED screen (which looks way better imo)

I kinda hope the gold is that bronzier finish we saw in early leaks though

Dual SIM? No chance.
They'll probably add Apple SIM before they think of doing that!

Also, that'll mean they have space for 2 SIMs, but not a headphone jack?! o_O

Apple SIM looks neat, how does it affect pricing? Are local sim cards/plans cheaper than the prices using Apple SIM?

I thought the iPhone X was not selling that well, so Apple is doubling down on the design?

Price was a concern. So was the display size.

Apple is attacking both concerns ($799) for LCD and 6.5" for those who want phablets.

I saw right here on MacRumors that Min Kuong was making forecasts about Apple not updating the X a few months ago
No it was about not making the current iphone x available when the new verison comes out. Meaning they won't want to lower the price so they would just discontinue it so they wouldn't need to reduce the price.

There will still be a 2018 iphone x and a bigger one

Quick, mathematicians- Figure out the PPI for that.

I was thinking about the resolution as well. That's getting really close to MBP resolutions on a much smaller screen. Plus, the PPI is probably much higher than an iMac's screen. I've heard that it's tough to scale OLED to larger screens, but still. Some other computer makers have 4K 15" laptops. For iMacs, since they're 5K now, Apple probably would want to use a 10K screen if they wanted PPI to be somewhat consistent between devices.

As for dual SIM cards, sounds interesting. Wouldn't mind a microSD as well, but not like that's going to happen. But never say never.

Dual SIM doesn't mean anything unless the iPhone has the ability of running dual apps, for example, running 2 separate Facebook apps, 2 separate WhatsApp apps, for different purposes (e.g. work / personal).

In the case of Hong Kong, some iPhone users tend to keep 1 personal iPhone, and 1 Android phone for work, not just because they want the 2 different phone numbers, but also want to have 'another incarnation of the app' for other purposes.

If that person has an Android phone, for example the Samsung Galaxy S8 (dual SIM version), s/he doesn't have to keep 2 phones. With just the S8 (dual SIM version) phone, not only can they have 2 phone numbers, but also dual apps for personal & work purpose.

Dual Sim? Adding that for the hype and clicks.

Yes, but I think it would breat great... Not only for traveling, but I know a number of people who carry multiple phones because they don't want to give up their personal number, but have to have a company phone

I think he was saying production of the 2017 X would be halted mid-year. The implication being Apple would 1) have enough inventory on-hand to last through the 2018 introduction and 2) not continue to offer the current X as a lower cost alternative after the new models are out. The 2017 X would be a one-year-only model like the iPhone 5 was back in 2012.

This should have been released last year Apple. Come on...5.8" is too small for iPhone Plus owners. I will be getting this 6.5" model...My guess that it will be called iPhone XI Plus and not X Plus.

Dual Sim? Wasn't gonna upgrade my X.... But now... I've to reconsider.

Also face id sucks. Please make it faster, landscape mode and wider angle.

Very much looking forward to the giant screen; still miss using my old iPad mini.

I'm betting it's only one SIM, plus an eSIM, like the iPads.

A lot of analysts made a lot of crazy statements, that were proven wrong by Apple's actual reported numbers.

Maybe the phone will have both an Apple SIM (which takes up very little space as it is just another tiny chip on the 'motherboard') and a nanoSIM slot.

I hope they don't pull the 'better camera in bigger phone' trick.

I want the good camera in the smaller factor, please.
All things equal (which in this case would the 'height' of the camera bump), a thicker phone has more space for a better camera. And the 'Plus' phones have always been a little bit thicker.
