Mainly going off Apple's previous releases for the last couple of years they have done so alongside new iPhone's in September.

That’s not much of a compelling reason to say their will be a Series 4, but as Bruinsrme stated for Health advancements, I would agree with his assessment. That said, the Apple Watch hasn’t fully established a time line yet being it’s still a fairly new product.

That is true it’s more of a hunch, i think they will especially since the Apple Watch is becoming more and more popular. I guess time will tell, I’m more hoping as well since I need an upgrade from from Series 0 which has terrible battery life now especially when going for a run and using the heart rate sensor.

At that price for a wireless charger, I'll pass!!
Will stick to my Mophie for now! I could buy 4 Mophies and place them around the house for the price of 1 Apple charging mat!

Amen. Which is why I won’t buy the HomePod. I can buy 10 Echo Dots for the price of 1 HomePod. I’m not an audiophile and don’t require FLAC quality audio.

I've had the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock since it was released. It's really a premium product and I've been simply delighted with it. I like it so much that I've been holding off on buying wireless chargers for my iPhone X because I know that Apple is going to deliver a premium device, and every other product I've seen looks and feels so cheap! I don't care that much about the price. I'm planning to get at least six of these and put them all over my house and office. You get what you pay for folks...

Yeah and sometimes that includes being ripped off. IF it’s priced at $200 that is.

I find lightening charger is technically superior.

They can keep AirPower, since it will most likely be a lot more expensive than all the other chargers out there.

But for crying out loud, give us the wireless charging case for the AirPods!
I‘m still holding out on buying them because of this. The „Hey Siri“-update isn’t as important to me, but having switched to wireless charging with my iPhone, I just don’t see the point in getting wired-charging wireless headphones.
it’s not a big deal. the vast majority of the time my APs charge in the case while it’s in my pocket or sitting next to me. That’s good for 20 hours of use. When it’s time to charge them it’s completely trivial to plug it into one of my many iphone and ipad charging cables throughout the house. a charging pad just isn’t any different.

Looking forward to this product. I've tried to make my nightstand as simple and clean as possible, and it is still a mess of cables and pucks to accommodate everything.

AirPower is the solution product. Don't really care what it costs. There is no other solution to the same problem.

You’re gonna need AirPower to charge the AirPods wirelessly.

Also, remember that you can buy even more of these pads and put them under HomePods (to prevent staining).

For overnight charging on my nightstand: For the X there is a good looking black w/metal trim SAtechi Fast charge. For iWatch3LTE there is the original charger. For AirPods, I use the the Spigen AirPod charger which is an upright holder that has a removable adhesive on the bottom and holds the AirPods securely upright so they don't get knocked off the nightstand (or patted off by the cat :0)). All chargers are at the back edge of the nightstand closest to me with all cords hidden down the back and affixed to the back side of the nightstand and plugged in to an Anker 24W dual port. My iPad and MBP charge on my desk, but also have an unused 10' lightening cord plugged in to another Anker behind the nightstand, secured to a mattress slat, and available if I want to use either one in that location.

Otherwise, I have an upright Spigen charger on my desk and one in the kitchen for my iPhone, as I prefer my phone screen remaining visible while I work instead of having to pick it up to use it. I don't think I would ever need more than a single charger in any location during the day. Right now, even those two chargers are mainly used by friends or family who are visiting and personally, to keep my phone with a high %, "just in case". Honestly, the phone, watch, laptop, AirPods.....will hold a charge all day for what I use them for. The iPad, on the other hand, sometimes needs charging so I just plug it into my laptop.

So bottom line, I am looking forward to new battery technology, but cannot get excited about a charger.......and never about one that costs $200.

$200 for something that looks like an afterthought? Not a chance. Maybe if it resembled the slick designs of Apple’s mainstream products but not while it looks like a mini hot water bottle...

They charge 100.00 for a silicone case with a battery inside of it, 40.00 for silicone phone cases and 70.00 for a rear silicone slab to protect your iPad. This charger will for sure cost 200.00 and the design is not as sleek as usual.

Doesn’t seem like this will work with the Sport Loop very well. Or the Milanese loop & stainless band for that matter

I was just thinking the same thing. The whole metal thing may be an issue, and who wants to remove the band to charge the watch?

I like how it took them 6 months to relaese their own product that goes with a key feature of their new phones, and how that feature came as a hidden cost.

I suspect they stagger the accessories purposefully on their calendar so the consumers swallow it more easily.

Consumers will be swallowing it at $199.

Got tired of waiting for this and holy crap, $200? I just bought three ravpower chargers for $14 each. Of course, they only charge the phone, but at least I can put it in three different places. I'll charge my watch the old fashioned way and save the $160, thanks. I buy a lot of stuff from Apple through a friend's employee discount, but even at 50% off this hardly seems worth it.

Keep in mind that the Apple Watch inductive charging mat currently costs $79, and that only charges one device.
However, that does include the puck soooooo?

I am pretty much in the same boat. I don't need HomePod. I have a Marshall BT speaker with much higher audio quality, I don't use Apple Music, and I don't use HomeKit for our home automation. I would buy a HomePod if it was cheaper. It sounds decent.

I’m guessing he was just using it as an expression and not literally.

Right, I just was pointing out the obvious that Apple charges a premium for the products, but no one is forcing anyone to purchase them if you don’t want to. So why make frivolous ‘Theft’ complaints about it.
