I vote for

Death Valley

Also, isn't the accepted abbreviation for Albuquerque "ABQ".

Stop with those stupid 10.1= 10.10 mathematically and so on...
I think it's time to separate from Mac OS X(when X=10) to the new name =
OS X(when X= letter X)
X marks the spot for a new beginning. Apple already made the shift.

One cannot change their user-name on MR. I moved out of "Duke City" years ago...

I also like the name of the San Diego suburb I was raised in...POWAY.

OS X Poway for the win.

I think Apple's having a hard time getting rid of that cool X. By most normal versioning standards, which up the number after any huge architectural changes, OSX should be OSXII by this point at least. The big Intel switch should've been OSXI, and Lion should've been XII.

No, because "OS X" is a name.

I'm all or the new names. 

I'm all for operating systems that are refined and have most of the bugs worked out of them. If an OS stays around of two or three years and becomes very solid I am pleased.

I'll be glad when the yearly OS fashion show faze that Apple and wannabe Microsoft are currently engaged in is over.

I'm sorry, but this California landmark thing was ridiculous from the start. Am I the only one here? Seriously, OS X Yosemite? What dork thought of this idea.

Poway

I have friends there so I know Poway well. I've spent several lifetimes there one weekend. Also, I could live with OSX Poway. And I still live in the Duke city, But I can hear Los Lunes calling me home.

Damn, after re reading the last paragraph I really gotta take my meds.

The names aren't that bad, but are they really about to make a mockery of the decimal system? 10.10 is mathematically identical to 10.1...

As has been gone over again and again software version numbers are not decimal, otherwise we never would have had 10.4.10.

So in that case, iPhone OS 3 is half of iOS 6?

Actually, no. iPhone OS 3 would be a complex version due to the imaginary component while an iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch's iOS 6 would actually be real since the imaginary numbers would actually cancel each other out.

Pssst.... That post has been quoted over a dozen times in this thread, which makes your post somewhat ironic.
