Apple's iPad-Centric Event to Take Place on October 22

Been waiting for this. Love my mini, but only for the form factor. Can't wait to pick up the 5 with the smaller design.
The golden master is already available since a few days (and it's pretty stable... I'm currently running it on my laptop), I doubt Apple will wait a month before releasing it to the public ?
I'm also still using a 1st gen and it's not too slow. It's not like it gets slower by time ^^ The problem is, more and more apps require iOS6+ and lots of games run much smoother with at least dual core. The app store does crash quite often due to the iPad not having enough ram, and so do a few games.
So yeah, it's time to upgrade since software is making it tough for the iPad to function properly.
We're talking about the same Steve that released the Rokr, MobileMe, the hockey puck mouse, Ping, the iPod shuffle 3rd gen (without buttons), the 1st gen apple tv, the iPod Hi-Fi, and the Lisa.
Enough leaks of the New Retina MacBook pro to doubt it to be launched.

For those of you selling ipad mini or ipad 2-3 any idea what prices they might be going for on craigslist or ebay? I am guessing there will be an influx hitting the market driving down prices quite a bit.
Macbook Pro - silent release?
Well, they silently released the new Haswell iMacs on the Tuesday after the new iPhones went on sale. If the updated Macbook Pro's don't make it to the stage on the 22nd, I will bet they will do the silent update shortly after OSX Mavericks starts shipping and they will come with that OS.
The computer line takes a back seat. I am waiting for both the new Macbook Pro as well as waiting to replace my Gen 1 iPad (which I waited in line to get that first day they were available - 3.5 years ago now??).

I find it hard to believe also.
I wouldn't be surprised to see it introduced with the Mac Pro and actually maybe the MacBookPro is in the same black/charcoal as the Mac Pro.
Come on Touch ID on the iPad 5!

I really think they will keep touch ID for their full sized ipad. I cant see them giving their ipad mini 32 gb. HD space is where they make their margins they wont be shifting their mini or phones for a while. I can maybe see them stocking 32gb into their full size to entice away from the mini but that's a very slim maybe.
Mark my words... iPad mini will not have everything that iPad has. Maybe some but not all. Retina? 64 bit A7 processor? 8MP camera? I'd say only chip but definitely not Retina or 8MP camera. Retina is one of the flagship features for the top of the range iPads. It's what differentiates between the adults and the kids
