I was the victim of 1) not updating my address after moving from Michigan to Denver with At&t. Since I pay my bill electronically, I have no need for a billing address, but when I checked out at Apple -- or tried to -- it wouldn't let me change my shipping address, meaning it would only ship to my old residence in Michigan. I tried everything for like 30 minutes. No luck.

And 2) - so I went to AT&T.com, but there system was down! So I couldn't change my address. I finally said screw it. Woke up around 5 am MT, changed the address (it let me now) and ordered my iPhone.

It says that I should receive it on the 21st, but I haven't received any other shipping notice and it has been about an hour and 20 minutes. My guess is that they are out of supply.

Can I cancel and fight the crowds at the Apple store?

No. Your phone is coming on the 21st. Same thing happened to me in 2010 with the iPhone 4. I received no confirmation email from AT&T for many days. If you need to feel secure about it, you can talk to a sales rep on the phone, and they will confirm your order for you.

had a 21st ship date then lost it

got up at 2:45 (central time - 45 minutes after ordering started) - had trouble (of course) with the store...*using safari I kept getting 404 messages - went to chrome after 10 minutes

had my iPhone in the cart ship date said the 21st

tried to add second phone for my daughter to the cart

said I couldn't do that... removed the second phone

ship date for my first phone now said "in 2 weeks" -- that was at about 3:04 am - so in the time I was trying to add my daughter's, I lost the good ship date :(

i probably would have been fine if i'd tried chrome to begin with

Delivery date

Hi all,

I ordered mine and had checked out within a couple of minutes. It's given me a delivery time frame of 21-27/09. What's the chances of getting it on the 21st considering I started buying it the second the app went live.

Also is it normal for it to still be processing my order?

Same thing happened with the iPad launch, by the time I got to order it was 3 weeks delay...

I walk in a store Sunday (less than two days after launch) and I get one.

So don't loose hope folks!

Two huge differences through...

IPhone is more popular than the iPad.
IPhone starts at $199 compared to $499

Good luck getting an iPhone two days after its released.

Glad I got my order at Apple.com for my Verizon 64GB Black. within the First 2o mins., It still says delivers 9/21

Hopefully by the end of October when I can order the Apple Store will have some available

I placed my order at 3:08am EST, but didn't get to change the address until about 5:30am EST. I guess give it a couple hours?

EDIT: It should probably be in processing, if yours isn't you won't be able to yet. I'll stick with the 2-3 hour window or so.

I placed two orders about 10-15 minutes apart. The first is in processing and allowed me to change shipping info, the second is in "order received" status and will not allow any edits yet. I'm guessing there's a fairly short window between processing and shipped during which the shipping info can be changed.

Thanks 2:55am alarm...

I placed all my orders between 3:15am and 3:45am EST and it wasn't there

Okay. I saw that at some point. Maybe it was later. I had a hard time getting back to sleep and jumped on the iPad once or twice around 5:30-ish AST. Maybe that's when I saw it.

I checked VZW's website and I can pre-order at full price, which means I can keep my unlimited data. But when it came to "select a data plan", unlimited wasn't an option. Looks like I *will* have to wait until next week and get it in-store to make this work. Stupid VZW.

Edit: BTW Verizon is still listing their stock as being delivered on 9/21, for those interested.

You're buying new phones for your family of 3 or more and happen to do a lot of traveling.
Holy Shnikes. Are there seriously that many families out there dropping $700 plus tax on three or more unlocked phones?

Come on. Give me a practical reason. I find it unbelievable that so many people would be ordering for a "family of three" that Apple had to limit quantities. This is due to scalping, plain and simple.

Same here. I need to have it shipped to my office because
no one is home during the day. Crap, I forgot to add AppleCare+. Can I add that to the order once it's out of "we've received your order" status?

I'm not sure about adding it to the order, but I do know you can go to your local Apple Store within 30 days of the ship date to buy it. They require you bring proof of purchase and the phone, they'll inspect it and then sell you AppleCare (as long as the phone's fine).

Ehh I ordered 6 this morning and I'm not selling any of them... Have a family plan with 5 and one individual line.

Grrrr

i set my iPhone to wake me up at 2:45 and it just DIDN'T. Full volume and nothing. I woke up about an hour after pre orders were available to see the two week notice -____- i think my 4S is trying to stop me from upgrading. Maybe this is just a scheme of Apple to make it look as if its selling faster than it is, but i doubt it.

iOS App is the best!

At 5:30am CDT I was unable to order on the Apple store web site. So seeing some of the replies here, I tried the iOS App and it was a breeze! Ships in two weeks, but at least I got it ordered!

The 2 per person limit is to protect against scalping. But the are many many families out there who need 4, 5, 6 new phones. Easy. Also small companies buying them.

I believe the iPhone is the single more desired product in the world. Without a doubt.

In the new couple of weeks, you will see them filtering into every corner of the globe. Today, there are people with enough bucks in every town, village and city on earth

Ordered mine via apple store app at 2.02 am central. Got confirmation at 2.04 am that it will be delivered on 21st. Balck 32GB at&t

Ordered at 4:46am EST this morning.

Still shows as "We've recieved your order". Not processing or anything.

Hope there's no issue, even if I won't be getting it until the first week of Oct. :(
