Ah yea, good times back then.

Will they make u charge it in a similar way like magic mouse?

I think it'll look more like a 5/5s. Best form factor yet. And I'm gonna guess the extra battery comes from the extra space made by thickening the phone in order for the camera lens to be flush.

Gentler and easier to hold would be a welcome improvement

Thickening the phone. Lololololololol

Well....I really hope this doesn't actually happen.

We want a brand new design not a rehashed earlier design.

There are only so many shapes in the world, it's going to look like a brand new phone, whether it uses some design aspects of the original or not -- in much the same way the 5/5s/SE resembled the chamfered edges of the Apple II & early Macintosh.

That said, I loved the original iPhone. I still have mine, and every so often have occasion to handle it, and it fits so perfectly in my hand. It truly was the most ideal size and shape for a phone ever conceived. If they recreated that exact shape with an edge to edge bezeless display, I can't imagine a better phone design.

Just a mm or so. Enough to make the camera flush. How do you expect them to get more battery in it? Those rumors seem solid. Unless every other component became smaller, making room for more battery. The protruding camera lens has been a point of contention ever since it was introduced. Ultra thin is out. Usably thin is in.

So the new iPhone is going to look like an iPhone. Woohoo! Exciting. Yawn.

Seriously, the shape of the hardware really isn't that interesting is it? I'm more interested in the internals and the next version of iOS. A smartphone is now a pretty mature product, so it's like talking about the next internal features of a television set. Pretty dull....

The design of the original iPhone was awesome. The 3G was a cheap and plasticky disappointment. Apple eventually figured out how to make a premium plastic design with the 5c, but for some reason everyone decided to mock that one.

My favorite iPhone to hold in my hands was the 3GS. It just fit! Hated giving that phone up.

I agree … the curved back was the most ergonomic. Never liked the sharp edges (and worn spot in my jeans pocket) that came along with the 4. Although, now that they're so thin, the radius of the original would eat up a lot of internal space. Then again, maybe this rumor is hogwash.

I don't get what this water drop is supposed to mean, given that the iphone 7 is essentially perfectly round at the edges. The only reason why the original iphone looks rounder is because it is much thicker.

I thought the consensus was Ive's "single pane of glass" look. Either way, as long as its not another 6 6s 7, i'll probably purchase it.

Agreed. After three generations of the same physical design, I really am looking forward to a new form factor and perhaps A new display. I think this September is going to be a huge year for Apple if OLED is accurate.

It's a little frustrating to read these comments. The reactions are strong and most of the assumptions are way off base. Thank god Apple pays zero attention to this forum. Unless you work at foxcon, save your disappointment for launch day.

Perhaps you shouldn't paint your jeans on then?

Wow 3 dimensional glass.

As opposed to the 2 dimensional world we all existed in before?

Really? Who writes this stuff?

I think it is going to be like the stainless steel apple watch. With the back of the iphone resembling the front of the apple watch, with curved glass. The front of the iphone will also look like the front of the apple watch , but the front glass of the iphone will have a slhtly sharper curve downwards, because the bezels will look huge otherwise.

Is there some two-dimensional glass out there? four-dimensional? Pet peeve: marketing speak shouldn't be used to technically describe a product.

A shape that hearkens back to the OG iPhone... I can dig it.
Well, sometimes it is easier to assign nomenclature or numbers to specific ranges of a style or function.

In this case, there are three types of glass edges:

1) 2D = Flat

2) 2.5D = curved edge to a flat base (current iPhone)

3) 3D = curved edge around to curved edge (like Galaxy Edge)

So I think instead of this referring to the sides (like the above), this post is referring to the top and bottom. I guess someone is trying to define a curved glass top, bottom, left, right as Water Drop.

Not working.
