Sorry for not reading through this thread prior to asking this (if it's already been answered) but can we expect Playlist Creation to go to iPod Touches as well? I've been waiting for that kind of feature and OTG isn't all that helpful all the time. lol

Ssl Vpn

Can't wait to hear more about the SSL VPN. Getting into my company's network on my iPhone was great when we had Cisco, but then we decided to switch to some bogus browser-based SSL VPN. I wonder if I'll be able to use this.

I've been waiting for the folders option and the home screen wallpaper.

I am happy with the preview and can't wait to upgrade.

Jobs: "On a mobile device, search is not where it’s at, not like on the desktop"

War with Google it is!

Wirelessly posted (Nokia N70-3 Ireland-Opera: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16)

Game center?

Possibly gonna evolve to include mac games? Like live + windows...what with steam coming to mac and all...

Different story when Apple does it. It's all about *how* you implement those features. On an iPhone, it's like candy.

agree - exactly, apple is always very deliberate with feature evolution.

it's sad that some people just have to find something to whine about...what a miserable existence...

What part of "you can leave Skype and stay on the phone call" just "app switching?"

Question I have is - can I keep any old IP connection with any protocol going... or just VOIP and streaming audio?

I can get location data, but can I send an HTTP request with that data to a server?

I am officially leaving Apple for good. No new UI. Android UI is way better. I feel like I'm buying the same model car with enhancements for four straight years.

Ok cya later, dont let the door hit you in the arse.

will i love most of the tentpoles.

im kinda let down by the lack of ui update, i mean just something, just the lockscreen and it would been perfect.

i dont wanna complain, its just that feature i really wanted

I'm a bit disappointed that there's still no way to save email attachments or transparent access to the file system. Nor does there appear to be a way to customize the lockscreen, so even with the nice new features, the jailbreak community will still be alive and kicking.

bye bye. hope you enjoyed your stay and time whining :)

Apple's Xbox Live thing looks awesome! Very excited about that!

I do wonder if GameCenter will be free. MS charges (So far Sony doesn't) but we all know keeping servers with that info isn't free.

This is huge.

Someone is throwing tatamis at Nintendo HQ.

Then you obviously weren't paying attention.

What part of "you can leave Skype and stay on the phone call" just "app switching?"

Yes, for Skype. But there is a limited set of apps that can support multitasking (only 7 services are provided for multitasking). The majority of apps will just have access to the ability to save their state and relaunch. From what I can tell, Apple didn't add the ability for IM apps to run in the background. I found that to be a huge oversight since that is one of the few apps that truly needed it.

10:52AM "Because iAd is in the iPhone OS itself, we have figured out how to do interactive and video content without ever taking you out of the app."

What?
