Jason Chen:
Q: Are there any plans for you to run unsigned applications, like on Android?
A: There is a porn store for Android to go to. You can download them, your kids can download them. Thats a place we dont want to go. Were not going to go there.
Make it something like android 2.1 system... have you seen it?
This is how the world works, not just Apple. Companies want to make money...

That's exactly what they'll say.
Jobs said advertising is for free apps, in front of everyone.
In case you missed it, there will be an approval process/criteria for iAd inclusion in an app.

The Bad
iAd makes me want to puke. It was just a matter of time. Hopefully there won't be a shortage of apps that aren't plastered with ads.

I have seen Android 2.1. My wife has a Droid. I like it but it is not as good as my iPhone.
multiple Exchange accounts, SSL VPN support
iad - how many apps do you use that aren't apple's? Do these people need to pay their mortgage? $0.99 an app doesn't pay the bills my friend.
Wallpaper - if you don't like it, don't use it.
If you think the iphone is a congested mess, don't use any of the updates! I don't think any of them are required for the user. Maybe you should stick to a 3G. Progress means change.

I fully understand and expected that my 1st Gen iPhone would not be compatible but my wife's one year old iPhone 3G will be crippled? Are you serious?
Oh please. Making us buy a new iPhone everytime they launch a ****** update with features that should have been there from day one?
I don't mind paying for a new iPhone, as long as i feel that it is bringing something NEW and worthwhile.
How do you get the ideas for these things?Agree mostly - except $0.99 apps have paid many, many, many bills.
