Oh please. Making us buy a new iPhone everytime they launch a ****** update with features that should have been there from day one?

I don't mind paying for a new iPhone, as long as i feel that it is bringing something NEW and worthwhile.

Will we be able to secure folders for those that contain porn or financial details?

As this is about the OS do you think we will be able to change text tones?...will they list all 100 changes.

I did get a tent pole for the multi-tasking.

Go buy an Android phone then. You have the right to choose. Good Lord. OS X isn't broken so why try to fix it. iPhone OS isn't broken either. Anyone expecting a revolution is just setting themselves up for a big disappointment.

I have seen Android 2.1. My wife has a Droid. I like it but it is not as good as my iPhone.

I think iAd is fantastic. It will allow devs to get money, which will reduce or eliminate the price of apps that we like. If you don't like ads, you pay for the privilege.

How could this possibly be a bad thing? You want devs to make money so that they make apps you like. It's a good thing if there is an option for the money to come from someone else rather than you.

So what about your apple computers... There is tons of porn on the internet....
 
To people upset about notifications: LOOK AT THE SLIDE. It says explicitely that it will be enhanced. That they decided not to talk about today doesn't mean it's not there--they didn't tell us everything of what would be on 3.0 when they did the SAME event last year. This was a preview, and they highlighted certain changes. this was not an event to release the entire thing.

Those may not mean much to some of you but trust me, this is FAN-@#$%&*-TASTIC! If I had been asked to make a wishlist for iPhone 4.0, those two would have been on the "in my wildest dreams but I know it ain't gonna happen" part. I'm one happy camper right now. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

If you think the iphone is a congested mess, don't use any of the updates! I don't think any of them are required for the user. Maybe you should stick to a 3G. Progress means change.

Agree mostly - except $0.99 apps have paid many, many, many bills.

Umm... the iPhone 3G uses the same core hardware (cpu/memory) as the initial iPhone which (frankly speaking) is slow and frustrating trying to even run one application at a time let alone multiple.

Most people get a new phone every two years. Why is the iPhone any different? And the 3G phone is so much slower then 3GS.
