I "went dark" on Monday. It hasn't really been too hard, I'm a podcast junkie, so I just went back and grabbed some old episodes of my favorite non-tech podcasts and have been listening to that to fill time and keep my mind off of tomorrow.

hum kinda wish i had done that looking back but ill do so now... thanks!

I went dark after i got out of work today. Been reading this thread and catching up on episodes of The Wire and 24 that I've missed. Helps to pass the time until tomorrow.

Interesting. I've always gone dark the day of the keynote since to me rumors are rumors. I think maybe next keynote I'll do the same by going dark early in the week.

[EDITED: WRONG QUOTE :D]

I love the Spoiler-Free community here :p

Can't wait to see the keynote tomorrow!!! I'm going to have it stuck in my head all day at school.

Maybe this time, I'll avoid checking out rumors from now, on because the day before the event, they tend to become a lot more accurate...

Hope all of you guys are pleasantly surprised! ;)

Hi guys,

Am very very excited to get in on this, it will really be my first time doing spoiler free while interacting with you guys. I did Spoiler Free for MWSF 2007, iPhone, but that was by myself.

Can I ask though, do you know where we could perhaps all get together in an actual live chat or something to all talk? If you get what I mean?

I'm just lucky, but the keynote starts at 4am local time for me… meaning that by the time I get to work around 9am Apple may have just about put the event up on the website (fingers crossed).

Oh it's going to be an unproductive morning!

I'm going to watch this keynote without any spoilers!

So shall it be written, so shall it be done!!!

Hmm, of course, if you're really a die-hard spoiler-free fan, you should basically not read any rumors-articles all year round, and only go to macrumors for this thread.

I think there might be a market for a meta-site bundling all retrospective articles from mac-sites (TUAW, Macrumors, ...) and leave out rumors and speculation.

im in Australia and hopefully the keynote will be ready in the morning, otherwise i might have a peak at the releases!

I'm in Aussieland too (happy Australia Day)! Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! Oi, Oi, Oi!

The keynote starts at 5AM (Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne etc. AEDST) time tomorrow so we should get the keynote at around 9 AM-10 AM if we are lucky.

First year I am gonna follow this keynote since I wanna buy my first MacBook Pro ever. Been waiting for more than 3 months for the new update. Hopefully I won't be dissapointed

The day has arrived...

It's D-Day already for us on this side of the Atlantic. Good morning from sunny Spain! It's cold outside but I could walk around in my underwear and not feel a thing... all I can think about is cool names, oled screens, sleek designs, ARM chips, new interfaces and one more things.

Boy, I'll definitely need a few herbal teas over the day. For us Europeans, it is probably a good idea to go to bed and rise early rather than hitting the refresh button every 30 secs until 4 AM.

As Tom Petty said, the waiting is the hardest part.

Cheers,

Hey, I just wanted to say hello to you guys again. I've been thinking about not going spoiler free after the last few not so exciting keynotes, but this looks like the biggest event since '07, so I'm holding with you :).
My problem is that I'm currently on a skiing trip with my IT high school and it looks like I'll be most probably spoiled by the mac nerds in the next room as soon as Steve pulls the thing out of his pocket. Even worse, there's no better connection than GPRS and I'm not going home until Jan 30th.
So it's gonna be very hard for me in the next few days, hope you'll do better :)
