Can't believe you can't order through Apple's website for the 2 year contracted pricing on AT&T.

Carriers are doing away with contracts, period. This doesn't bother me its essentially the same price because the no contract plans are cheaper. Get used to it because its not going to change anytime soon.

I have ATT&T Next and I only have to make 12 payments to upgrade each year too...
OK but I don't think you can do that anymore if you're a new customer. I know Verizon has done away with their edge plan. That's what I'm talking about.

First off, it says 12.99% in the terms on the page about getting ready to pre-order. You gotta read the terms when you apply for a loan.

Second of all, this appears to be the monthly payment plan unlimited data plan owners have been waiting for and you only have to make 12 payments to upgrade each year. So there are pros and cons to this new upgrade program.

No it does not. I always read the fine print and I saw no mention of any interest rate. Apple is not stupid and wouldn't think of charging interest when not a single carrier charges interest. Have a good night.

Again. Source/Screenshot. I'll wait. The math is the same:

Consider the mid-tier 64-gigabyte iPhone 6s, which sells for $749. Adding on a $129 AppleCare+ warranty brings the total cost to $878.

The iPhone Upgrade Program for the same 64-gigabyte iPhone 6s with AppleCare+ costs $36.58 per month for 24 months. That adds up to $877.92, or 8 cents less than you would pay upfront for an identical phone and warranty.

With your ATT next you pay the $37.50 and turn in your phone and walk out with a new one.

Apples system is pretty much the same way. After the 12 months you can upgrade again. You simply give them back your phone and roll into a new one. At least thats how I am interpreting it to be.

You're basically leasing it with the option to buy. If you want it to sell on your own you have to pay the balloon payment. Or you can keep it and pay it off at 20 or 24 or whatever your contract started with. The new plans just give you the option to turn it in early.

So do I give att my phone? Or does Apple to do it on my behalf this time around.

Can someone please explain the reasoning behind PST releases? I mean, an explanation other than "Apple is on the west coast". I'd imagine there's a truly legitimate reason, but from an EST perspective, it seems rather arbitrary. o_O

I don't get it. Why shut down the whole on-line store for two days?
I'm wanting to purchase a product; not pre-order one of the new releases.

This time I am going space gray, more subdued - the gold one I have always made me conscious of folks glancing at it in my subway commute.

I'm going rose gold, I get a new iPhone on every release, so even if I don't like it, I won't have it for too long.

Ok people, we're less than 3 hours to preorder! Does everybody have their coffee mugs underneath their Keurigs and credit card saved in profile??

I would love to be first to get one but iPhone 7 is waiting for me.
Me too, I'm just out of contract on my 5s but the 6s has nothing I need plus now I've gone to a cheaper but better phone plan I'm gonna be saving each month for the next year. My 3Gs lasted over 3 years so as long as the 5s runs iOS9 I'll be happy with my 4" iPhone for another year.

I'm a bit confused. Is this happening in 2 and a half hours or tomorrow? The whole Saturday thing is throwing me off since 12 is technically Saturday.

Now The whole site is completely down! God i hope there won't be a repeat of last year, as soon as the site came back and pre-orders started it took me ages for my order to go through cauz the servers were crumbling under pressure.

Wow. Because just taking the store offline wasn't enough...
