Took about 47 hours for mine to arrive. Looks like the hamspter is back on the spinny wheel! :D There is a flurry of codes being released now.

Still waiting after almost 54 hours. I submitted twice on the 25th around 9:45 AM Eastern, then again today just to check if it would still accept my serial number. Each time, it made me upload a receipt and gave me a different confirmation number, and even today I didn't get the "your serial number is in use" message. Frustrating!

Send out more codes today - put up with fewer dissatisfied people tomorrow.

I mean... every single caller must take them way longer to handle than generating and sending out one code?

I got the code twice!!

I request the code the first time almost 36 hours ago, then I request it again almost 24 hours ago and today I received two of them! almost 4 hours between both codes; the first one worked without any problems, I am already on ML. By the second one I dont know, yet. Tomorrow Im going to use it for the MBA of my girlfriend :D I do live in berlin, Germany...

3 days after submitting my 'proof of purchase' and I get an email saying:

"Receipt does not indicate product was paid for and received"

I uploaded screenshots of the Order Confirmation emails and thought that would suffice. Do they really think I'm trying to pull one over on them?

Can't they check my apple ID and see that I've spent a fortune on their company in the last two years.

Yes, I have perspective - and I know this isn't a big deal (I'm not in a rush to get the new OS); but it does seem like they are having trouble with very basic database mgmt and customer service here.

I got three emails, the first said (note the part I bolded):

Your password to open the content code file is: e166ac39-649d-450d-8609-1817e15cd6cb

Please print and save a copy of your OS X Mountain Lion content code for your records.

If you did not receive an email from the OS X Mountain Lion Up-To-Date program with your content code, please check your spam filter settings for attachment restrictions and contact us at uptodatesupport@apple.com to have this email and your content code re-sent.

Thank you for choosing Apple!

Denied

I was denied my claim because my Mac supposedly wan't bought from an authorized reseller. I bought it at ASU's Sun Devil Computer Store, which is an "Apple Authorized Campus Store". Is that not the same thing?

I would think so, I got my Macs with Edu discount and upgraded with no problem, but I went to the actual Apple Store.

Call them up

I was happy to get an email from Apple this afternoon, only to realize that it was one of disappointment, and not one deserving of excitement. Here's what it said:

The image I uploaded was a picture of the laptop itself. I am now realizing what they meant. I am away on vacation though, so I don'w have my receipt with me. Can I just screenshot my digital receipt?

I forwarded the denial-of-claim email to uptodatesupport@:apple:. At the top I clarified that the store is, in fact, authorized and included a small criticism of how they are handling this sh:apple:t.

I got mine at 6:30am this morning, so... 44 hours.

We decided a few pages back that it was monkeys without bananas, not hampsters ;)

48 Hours... and done!

I received my Mountain Lion code 48 hours after submitting the request. Although tempted, I did not make any additional requests or contact Apple.

Just sharing my experience.

Just now have passed 55 hours and I finally called and asked what the problem is.. He said it is pending, and I will get it within the 72 hour window, which better happen!!! I'm am so tired of waiting!

I just got the same email!!! So pissed right now, as I provided them the Effing receipt, the proof of purchase sticker on the box and also the confirmation email my husband got when he purchased it. WHAT MORE DO THEY WANT??!!! Says after I submit the crap they are wanting that it will be another 24 hours. Screw that! I finally paid for Mountain lion and will be calling them after I have calmed down and ask for a supervisor and demand a refund! As a brand new Mac user and spending nearly $4000 on their product and being "promised" the free ML upgrade I am pissed and very unimpressed! ******s!
