April 20th-22nd Shipping Thread

Mine shipped on April 3rd and it is still not here yet...

I ordered in on 3/14/2011. No way any of you would get before me...

Give me a break. It takes like 5-6 business days to just come from Shenzen.

don't be that pissy. it takes up to 3 days to get off of iPad island but then it goes direct to Anchorage, Chicago, or Memphis depending upon flights and destination, and from there it's on a plane to the closest fedex airport within 24 hours after clearing customs. you should have it by this weekend. Everyone's seeing a lag in the beginning on iPad island but then it's a lot faster.

I didn't really understand the need for your post hcho3 (or why you are even reading this thread). I don't see anyone whining about how long it's taking their iPads to arrive. This thread was set up simply to allow others with those estimated shipping dates to update the rest of us about any movements on their orders, be it a credit card charge or a change to "prepared for shipment".

No one is expecting to get theirs before yours. Those of us with the above shipping estimate placed our orders on or after March 16. So we do hope that yours gets delivered before ours. This doesn't mean we can't get excited about seeing our orders start moving.

Are you saying that yours hasn't even shipped yet? I would assume that with a March 14 order date that yours has shipped. Or maybe it hasn't and that's why you're so angry with everyone?

YaY ,,,Well today i have an update i order on the 16th of March , We just went to prepared for ship and i checked Acct.. Money has been picked up by Apple ,

But what gets me is my deliver date went from April 23rd, to April 25th what The but shipping date is still April 20th

Others went from the 23rd to the 25th and some are speculating it's because the 23rd falls on a Saturday. Either way, it looks you'll be getting yours WAY before that! Congrats!

Congrats! But it looks like a 64GB White WiFi will get fulfilled before a 16GB White WiFi as mine was ordered 10 hours earlier. And mine isn't engraved.

Called Apple and inquired about the 2-3 week shipping and got a convouluted explaination about how the estmated shipping changed last week to 2-3 weeks and added to the time I had already waited that meant that "maybe" my 64G 3G ATT ipad2 "might" come a week early. **sigh** I would have felt better if the associate were not quite so snarky about my inquiring. Sure wish there were some available in the Detroit area, but no one seems to have any and I can't wait outside an Apple store at 7 am! Although if the gov't shuts down that may be a possibility!

I did the same thing with a 3/16 order (same model as you) and got the same response. They promise late and deliver early. I got "a lot of orders ahead of you are shipping early so it looks good" but again the "obviously we can't guarantee anything earlier than the estimate". Fair enough though. I'm expecting mine to ship sometime in the next few days.. at least based on all the 3/15 orders shipping now and a few 3/16 orders also shipping. good luck!

YES. as of 20 minutes ago, my order is now Prepared for Shipment. Dates unchanged as usual, but at least I know it's ready and will ship soon! HURRAY! One step closer to my iPad

I ordered at 5pm on March 14th (64GB AT&T Black) and I just got word from FEDEX that they attempted delivery at my home. Hopefully, they'll hold it for pickup tomorrow.

I think they may attempt delivery three times and then return to sender (from what I understand) unless you request that they hold it. You can request that they hold it via your tracking page on the fedex site.

ETA: or you can "pre-sign" and have them leave it (if it's safe to do so where you live!)
