Yes, I'm not sure on the logistics, but I received the shipping notice about seven hours after the status changed from "Not yet shipped" to "PFS."

So as of 11:30AM PDT, mine is still in Not Yet Shipped status. So, I'm definitely feeling that White 16GB WiFi is the most constrained in terms of supply.
My 16 GB Black 3G AT&T that I ordered on March 17th at 12:57pm PDT is also Not Yet Shipped.
I think it's the 16 GB in general that are constrained in terms of supply.
I wouldn't say that my orders haven't moved ITOA both were order via Apple on March 17 10:01 AM PDT I have seen no movement I'm getting tired of checking I really don't think theres any rhyme or reason to Apple's policies

personal annoyances aside, you order during a 4-5 week waiting period and complaining about your item not shipping AHEAD of schedule? Relax man. Anything earlier than the estimates is gravy. Logistics on that scale is impossible to explain or understand without advanced mathematics, but when you're producing millions of 18 different models it can't be easy. there's hundreds of people including me in your boat. Your order will ship early, but how early is up in the air. With 2 different models in your order that prob are built on separate lines and maybe even on separate days it may take longer. Just chill, you'll get it. I've waited as long (if not a couple days longer than you) and I can tell you the frustration will pass.

I ordered a 16 GB Wifi Black on March 18 at around 9:00 AM. It would have moved to "Prepared for shipment" in the next couple of days. But I cancelled my order just now. So hopefully I am helping those of you that ordered after me
I ended up placing the order with MacConnection, a reseller who has always provided me good service. Unfortunately, they might take longer to ship than my original order with Apple. But I canceled with Apple because the Apple Online Store phone rep kind'a rubbed me the wrong way when I called to understand why my order of March 18 hasn't shipped yet while people outside the U.S. who ordered on March 25 are already getting their iPads. Not that he or Apple Store cares about losing my minuscule $499 order! Oh well...

I'm right there with you. Got a second "Package in FedEx location LANTAU ISLAND" timestamp today.
First flight off that island is at about 4am Central Time US tonight/Monday to Memphis. I think we'll be on it.
Apple rep told me usually 24-48 hours but has been up to 5 days due to space available on FedEx cargo flights.
I've been there 2 days but only because there were no Sunday flights out of HK. First flight to Memphis is at 4am Central tonight/Monday. 3 Flights total on Monday, so hopefully all of ours will get out of there tomorrow.

That would super awesome if mine got on that flight. Memphis is only 5 hours away from me. I'm getting an estimated delivery of Thursday but if it were to make it to Memphis that early, I would get it well before then. I won't get my hopes up but it would be great!
