First Apple product i used was a Shuffle. I promptly got rid of that garbage (no screen). I've had the iphone since 3G.

I have never been on a Mac computer and i will never own one that i had to pay for.

Here's one: I'm a mac user (have been for six years) and will be getting an iP4 any day now. Switching from Verizon to AT&T has everything to do with me loving all things mac and the great reviews the phones have gotten since they were invented. If I was a pc guy, I'd probably have a droid right now.

Same for me. Just waiting for the whites to come out so my wife can get white and I can get black. We are jumping from a Sprint employee plan.

My first Mac was a used PowerBook a few years ago, and now I'm on a unibody 15 inch MBP. I've had a few iPods since the early ones, and my wife has a white MB that's a few years old.

At work, I have a 2008 Mac Pro with 2 23" cinema displays. :D

I'm a web developer and my workflow is so much easier and faster on a Mac than a PC (maybe not linux).

I just love Apple products and the way everything is integrated. Can't wait.

I've been a Mac user since my first beautiful shiny Ruby iMac. That was right around when the first OSX appeared. I use PC at work though. I wish they would make my estimating software for Mac too. And I have had iPhones since generation 1. I didn't have the 3GS though.

Well on a Mac your contacts + calender go to your Address Book & iCal Apps. Not sure how it works on Windows :S

Ah, I use Exchange, so my contacts and calendar sync with Outlook OTA for me. If that's the main disadvantage, then I think I'm okay!

I had a Mac before an iPod or an iPhone.

And i'd assume most of the people here are the same.

But I reckon a lot of switchers are coming in because of the iPhone.

Omi

Same here. I've been a mac user for 15 years. iPhone user for 2. My first Mac was a Classic, with System 6. Boy were those the days.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A293 Safari/6531.22.7)

The iPhone is the only Apple product I've owned, or plan to own.

Ok, maybe a FaceTime equipped iPad one day, but that's it.

Bought an iPod, but always thought Macs were overpriced. Bought an iPhone 3G. Finally my fairly new Vista laptop drove me over the edge and I bought a MBP last summer. I could never go back to a Windows computer for full-time use.

I bought a Mac last march, then an iPhone 3GS in June, and now have an iPhone 4. Loved them all but the 3GS is sooooo outdated :p

I bought my MacBook Pro last summer. Had all the iPhones before that but used a PC before 2009. I will never go back...

Off topic....in the users names, what does like Macrumors 6201 mean or Demi god ect??

Lame Q, but are there any disadvantages to using an iPhone with a PC vs. a Mac? I've been a longtime iPod user and have used many ipods with my various PCs over the years without issue. Are there any disadvantages to using my iphone with a PC?

Very generally, jailbreak apps seem to appear first for Mac and later for Windows. Other than that, I don't know if there's any real advantage one way or the other.

I use both. Primarily a mac user. I have an iMac as my desktop that I use as my primary work station. I also use a PC, a Sony, as a gaming rig and to record television, doubling as a DVR/Game station.

I was a PC user my entire life because I played video games and Macs were always double the price of a PC with the same features. I got my iPhone 3G in the summer of '08 and also got a Macbook for college since all PC laptops had Vista and my dad didn't want Vista. Since then I've been a Mac user because of my laptop but if I were to get a desktop it would be a powerful GAMING MONSTER!

I grew up using window, but then I got my mbp about two years ago and haven't looked back.

I switched to Mac in November 2008 when I bought a MacBook Pro. Since then I've bought another MacBook Pro for the wife, a Time Capsule, an iPod Touch, two iPhone 3GSs, an iPad, and now two iPhone 4s. I'll probably never go back to PC. And this is coming from a Windows developer :)

No MAC, but I REALLY want a Macbook, though. Either the Air or a slim notebook if they got one. I would love to use it for school purposes or whatever. I wished the Air wasn't $1.4K starting price. Wah.

If you get one, get it during the back to school sale (which is now, lol). You get a free iPod Touch - then you could sell the touch to get back some of the cash :D

You guys will gasp in horror, but not only am I on a PC... I'm using a PC with VISTA. I was a little weary about switching from an XP machine to a Vista machine after hearing all the horror stories, but Vista has actually served me well over the last almost-two years that I've had this computer.
