Great to finally see Arn, who did a fine job on CNBC. He certainly handled that obnoxious interviewer better than the other guy. Its kind of interesting that the producers went with 2 pro-apple folks, rather than, say, Arn and Rob "Apple is going out of business" Enderle, or Arn and Paul "Microsoft is awesome" Thurrott.

(actually its not all that fair to bash Thurrott-- he crushed Zune this week)

The real question about the interviewer is...

When are not only this guy but also most of the other obnoxious hyper-capitalists at CNBC going to wind up at their obvious final destination -- namely, Fox News?

Oh, BTW -- nice job, Arn.

Whats the computer sales market numbers? I though Apple was 3rd behind Dell and HP.

Apple is in 3rd place for computer sales, right behind Dell & HP. :) A little fact that the host failed to mention- I guess that it just makes him feel better to say that Apple only has a 5% share of the market.

It's pretty obvious to me that nobody here watches the show. The interviewer is pushy with everybody. In an hour long show they rip through tons of content. It's just fast-paced, so he pushes the questions through when people start to stutter or go 'ummm'.

Great Job Arn. Noticed you got the interviewer to come around toward the end. As an investor, those are the same questions I would ask. However, I would probably let people finish. But when the BS meter goes off , that's when I interupt. Looprumors guy, sorry, the meter was high... blank stares don't have much cred. Gotta prepare...

Wow! That host was a real dick. How did he get that job anyway?
Why even ask a question if you dont plan on letting your guest answer?

Why was the interviewer asking about why this will be innovative when no one really knows what the phone will do or even if the thing exists? All there is to ride on right now is the reputatiion of Apple and a rumor.

If all of Apples success is related only to the success of the ipod then it would be logical for me to say the only reason for the success of the PC is that they are cheap.

Arn looks nothing like I imagined him to be.

I found the whole story to be nothing but pap (To no fault of arns of course).

Congrats!!!

Well done ARN!!!

When you think about it, it was a stupid question from the host: "What innovations will this new phone have?"

Well, let's see - Apple is notorious for their secrecy and everyone out there is speculating!!! Gees!! You bring on people from rumor sites and then want them to nail down specifics??

Stupid is as stupid does..

I also noticed...

How the footage loop from the Apple store had iBooks in it! Gees CNBC, how about you try and stay current, eh?

The interviewer, Dylan, was a complete ass. It's unfortunate. While I understood where he was trying to go with his question about inovation, he posed it poorly and then wouldn't let them respond. What a jerk.

Congrats, arn!! Great interview, you handled yourself very well on TV. I would never have thought by watching it that this was your first national TV appearance ever!

You did a good job of presenting info about and discussing the possible iPhone without sounding like a fanboy and without relying on stuff no one is sure about. It was obvious Bob the Fruit Loops guy, or wherever he's from :), was just grasping at straws and decided to mention the touchpad aspect. You bringing up the integration and the usability of the interface of iPod as an example of Apple's innovation was a lot better, I thought.

I thought the interviewer was very abrasive and rude, but he did have a valid line of questioning overall. Bob didn't handle it well, but you did. Hopefully your half of the interview not only made the Apple community look good, but also made Macrumors look good, too. I wonder if there will be some more traffic from people who are curious after seeing that segment.

Anyway, great job!!!! :)

And signs for 1-4GB iPod nanos. Least they weren't showing the iPod minis. :p It's probably stock footage someone pulled from a vault somewhere. Surprised it's as current as it is.

I guess I never really thought about what Arn looked like...

cnn boob

yes, the host (nobody knows his name and there is no reason to learn or remember it) is a rude, pushy, arrogant, and seemingly unintelligent person. I was dumbfounded why he tried to serve up a notion that the iphone would be just another phone/mp3 player and that the Apple logo would be it's most intriguing feature. The moronic host must have never touched a Mac or iPod before or he'd know: an Apple product isn't just cool becuase of the logo/brand... it's cool because it has extraordinary features and extraordinary interface. If (well, when) Apple releases an iPhone I am certain it will exceed everyone's expectations. Unlike Mr. CNN Host.

Hopefully he's got a few spare minutes to read these posts. I wonder what kind of market share a late night CNN host gets?
