Can wallpapers be sized to fit properly?

Has the black screen iPhone got some love or is iOS still made for white devices?
 
Block Unknown Caller

Does iOS 8 provide true call blocking? I want to be able to block any call without a caller ID (shows up as Unknown in Recents in the iPhone app)? Currently iOS 7 does not give you a way to deal with these annoying calls.
 
Does anybody know if iCloud Photo Library photos take up space on the device itself? For example, if I have 5GB of photos in iCloud, will they also be stored locally on my iPhone, Mac, etc?
 
has the camera app for taking pictures got more control or still need to buy a 3rd party app?

How good is it quality wise compared to a 3rd party camera app like procamera7? It looks from the GIF the exposure effect/control is not as good?

Apples camera integration from lock screen is really handy. Its such a shame they force users to buy an app to get decent function. It would be way better if they had a pro/casual mode in settings.
 
Quick question, although I have access to the Dev Centre I don't actually have a dedicated device for testing my apps, so haven't downloaded iOS 8:

Does 'Hey Siri' work well, and does it work if music is playing? I know it needs to be plugged in, but not sure if it is going to be as useful as I hope if it doesn't work all the time.

Not sure, I haven't got iOS8 and it isn't my GIF, also I haven't used a third party camera app.
 
Handoff between iPad and iPhone?

Can you use the handoff feature *without* a mac? For example, if I was using Safari on my iPhone browsing an Apple Store page, can I "handoff" that page to my iPad?

Also, Apple displayed being able to transfer a phone call via iPhone to iPad... How is done?

Any help is appreciated! :apple:

I think I used poor wording for that part of my question. I guess what I mean to ask was does iOS 8 have a feature that say if I was ordering something on amazon or another online website, and I was entering shipping/billing info and wanted to switch and work on my iPad/iPhone and use handoff/continuity, is there a way that allows you to do a complete handoff(open page, fill in data you just filled out on the shipping/billing page?

Password protecting apps with touch id

Are we able to password protect apps yet (as mentioned in the keynote) or does each individual developer have to enable the functionality?

You can't password protect apps; it was never mentioned in the keynote. What was mentioned, however, is the ability to use TouchID in place of a password in an app which already requires one to enter the app, such as Bank of America, etc. You can't just password/TouchID-protect any app you want.

Is the ability to rename Text Message threads available for threads that only include iMessage participants? And can you only "Leave the Conversation" if you're the one that started the thread, and also only from groups that include iMessage users exclusively?
 
Will IOS 8 have the feature to autoreply to text messages? For example while you are away on vacation. Or at the very least will it allow apps like autoresponder to work without jailbreaking?

You can leave the conversation even if you didn't start it, or you can just place it into a DND mode.

Nope, not as of beta 4.
