Does anyone know what must be included with the iPhone 6 trade-in? Lightning cable? Charger? Earpods?
I did look at tradein.att.com and didn't see it specified anywhere, just the overall condition of the phone.

Sorry if this was asked previously but how does one partake in this promotion if it expires September 30th and I won't get my new pre-ordered iPhone until the middle of November?

Re-read their promotion. If I'm reading it right the 9/30 date is if you live in Puerto Rico.

My take is purchase/order by September 30th. We have no control on when we'll get it so it's just purchase by Sept. 30th.

I see that it requires you to have a plan that is a $50 minimum..... If I traded in 2 phones, do you think my plan would have to be over $100. (2 phones at $50 minimum)?

You just have to order during the promotional period. Once you receive the new device, then you have 30 days (IIRC) to trade in the old one.

This link: https://www.att.com/esupport/article.html#!/wireless/KM1123971 explains in more detail how to do the trade-in. There are several non-obvious steps.

Where did you find this link? I've been researching this deal for the last 3 days and never found this.
That article didn't say whether the AT&T locked iPhone can be traded in. If using tradein.att.com with the IMEI (locked to AT&T now), it can pass although the promotion code is not valid now.

Received ATT shipment email this afternoon. I get my 7 from apple tomorrow and my 7 from att. Returning my 7 from apple immediately. New 7 128gb is $750 so this upgrade is only $100.

When are we supposed to get the trad-in code email from at&t? Has anyone got the email yet?

I don't know, this plan seems all too easy. I'm betting there will be a loophole at 12 months so that you can't get the iPhone 8 right away or something.

You can buy unlocked iPhone 8 and switch SIM cards. The old iPhone 7 is locked to AT&T until you pay off the balance but it can be sold to someone using AT&T.

No, if your plan is over $50, you can order 2 lines. A&T customer rep told me.

thank you. i haven't seen anything with details at all. funny how it says "up to $650"

Them is danger words right there.
It had better mean that you will receive less than the full $650 if you end the Next plan early rather than meaning you might receive less than $650 depending upon which phone you trade in.

It's probably due to the fact that you could upgrade or pay it off early which would stop the credits than anything else

Do you know if a sprint iPhone 6 can be used? As long as it works and not reported stolen right?

haha yea. i was thinking it could change due to condition or something but i'm sure it's just CYA.

I went into ATT with my sister who was doing the promotion. It is $650 in 24 mo credits with 6/6s trade in and she pays the difference each month for the 7+ 128gb. The rep said to just bring her i6 back in to trade in when she receives the 7. No need to mail it in if you have an ATT store near you.

Anybody else having trouble with your account showing that your phone is paid off? I ordered my iPhone 6 as soon as I was able to a couple of years ago. My phone was officially paid off Sept. 12 per a date on the AT&T website, but when I go to the upgrade options it asks me if I want to pay off the final $31 and whatever. Since the phone isn't shipping until mid-October I'm waiting a few more days and hope this crap clears up. I don't like how I don't see some bold printed YOU WILL GET $650 IN CREDITS FOR THIS IF YOU GIVE US YOUR PHONE WE SO PROMISE AND STUFF.

Went to AT&T corporate last night to buy an iPhone 7 and trade-in my old 6. Apart from some wait time (was 15th in queue), the transaction went smoothly and the associate told me I'll start receiving credits in 2 months or so. I'm happy I went the in-store route instead of pre-ordering so everything's clear and I can get the trade-in out of the way.

Got there around 7pm so no 7 Plus left and 7 stock was limited. The store associate said they didn't get any Jet Black models at all and no 7 Plus in black but otherwise, they had pretty decent inventory. Black was most in-demand this time around (I reckon because it's one of the new colors). Personally, I've just always gotten the version with black faceplate. I'm boring that way.

Fine print also indicates "eligible service." Does the promo work for those with old family share/unlimited data plans?

Did an online chat today to make sure I was eligible for this offer as I bought my iPhone 7+ on Apple's site but did the AT&T Next. Chat guy looked up my account and confirmed that I was eligible. I also asked is it better to mail in the phone or just take it to an AT&T retail store and was told definitely take it to the store to speed up the process! I printed out our conversation just in case there is an issue when I take my iPhone 6 to trade in to get the credits! My iPhone 7+ is suppose to arrive on Monday!

Are they still doing the same deal? What I'm seeing on the AT&T site is saying it's a switch deal and port is required. That's not the same as before or what I printed out a few days ago. It also says existing customers can add to an eligible plan. Does that mean I'd have to add a line for the deal?
