At&t changing phone uprade eligability for many iphone users

Wow! Mine changed since last night!! Discounted prices just kicked in. Full price last night. Half price today. It was 11/20/2010 last night. AT&T is OK in my book. 😀
 
Just checked my account which was originally eligible on 6/21/10 and now it is immediately eligible for discount. Additionally my wife's account which was eligible in December is also not immediately eligible. Pretty cool.
 
No surprise,they moved my brother date from July 12 to now eligible.my dad doesn't have an iPhone but his is up for upgrade on 4th of July but hasn't changed and his is the primary line.

I've been eligible from march with my release day 3G😀
 
UPGRADE MESSAGE FROM AT&T. /. Preorder information

My upgrade date & message from AT&T has been changed from 21 November 2010 to simply, "As a valued customer, we can offer you an upgrade with a new 2-yr commitment and an $18 upgrade fee". AT&T didn't give me a new upgrade date they only stated the above.

In addition, has anyone seen or heard about preordering the OS 4 iPhone? If the phone is going to be sold as everyone has said, in June, how will there be preordering? How is there enough time to get this done? Can someone offer an answer or some insight into this? Thanks.

Check back tomorrow after the WWDC keynote for answers to these questions. Many sites will have live play by play.

You kidding me?? I'm 2/2011.. however, my iPhone got stolen 5 months ago and I've been iPhone-less. Have they only been upping iPhone plans only????
 
A buddy of mine and his fiance got their 3GS' a few days apart, maybe a month after it came out. He had gotten a vanilla phone, then went back and exchanged for an iPhone a few days later. I was hanging out with them last night and told them to check their eligibility dates. Hers is mid-August, his is 2011 for some reason.
 
I feel your pain iMJustAGuy... mine got stolen and i've been using a 3gs.. its not fairrr.

Thanks bit bucket. Much appreciated. I plan to be checking out all of the bloggers tomorrow as well as Gizmodo, Engadget, etc. They'll be providing everyone with up to the minute information and most importantly, whatever Steve Job says. Thanks again. I hope you're right.

My full upgrade is still 4/13/2011 (I bought 3gs approx 2 month after release)

Question... my current phone is the 2g Edge iphone, not the 3gs I most recently bought. Will they fix my date?
 
I bought my Iphone 3GS in July of last year and yesterday I wasn't eligible for an upgrade until 7/2010, but today i'm eligible for full upgrade, so my upgrade date has been moved to today.....Yay, hello new Iphone as soon as I can pre-order 🙂

WOOOOOT!!!! YES!!!!

I just called AT&T and they say I am eligible for an early upgrade. Just because my online account says I am only eligible for no-commit, that just applies to any phone AT&T sells other than the iPhone.

He confirmed that I can pay the early upgrade price if I go to an AT&T store instead of an Apple store. Confirmed by both the CR rep and the manager at my local AT&t Store!!!!!! YES!!!!!! I will be lining up at an AT&T store this month!!!!

iMJustAGuy, I suggest you call AT&T and sort through the upgrade options and tell them specifically you want an iPhone. The first rep I spoke to said I wasn't eligible but I didn't tell them I wanted an iPhone. Manager and AT&T rep said iPhones hold special rules to them.

This has made my day!!!
