At&t changing phone uprade eligability for many iphone users

Mine changed too. My upgrade eligibility was 11/20/2010 before today, now I can upgrade immediately. Wonder if that means the new iPhone will be coming sooner than later. 
This confirms that the new iPhone will be out before June 20th for sure. We may be looking at a June 11th or 18th release date if not the shocker of it coming out tomorrow.
All I wanted was an early upgrade while everyone else gets the full upgrade. I don't care now, yayyyy! Thanks Gecko for suggesting me to call AT&T, greatest advice I followed.

Just called business care and she told me the same thing the ATT website says... how depressing......

On one of my lines, my upgrade date changed from 6/20 back to 11/20 because I stopped paying over $100 per month after only one month. As of midnight, I am now eligible with an $18 upgrade fee.
AT&T did this for all kinds of people today it looks like. Enjoy those new iPhones!

I don't understand. My AT&T site says no-commit but the rep at the business care department along with the local manager said early upgrade. You're February and I am March, you should be able to upgrade first. PM me, I'll try to help you out. I have nothing better to do since I am off from work tomorrow.

Same here. Status changed from eligible for full upgrade on 6/23/2010 yesterday to Standard upgrade today. Should I call them and ask them whats going on. I got it last year on 6/23/10 and just paid my bill which is over 200 every month. What gives?

What do you mean by "full" and "standard"?
Mine was originally June 27th and I just checked and now I can upgrade to a 32gb 3GS for $299. It appears they have moved up my eligible date to upgrade.
for the people that used their upgrade on the 3gs and now getting their dates changed. Are they changing it so your eligible for the 399 499 pricing or the full discounted 199 299?
Well, I guess I should go through the math more. But if I sign up for a new 2 yr contract and iphone. I'll pay like $200.
I'm not that happy with ATT service in NYC. Its horrible. I just tried out a Droid incredible for the week on verizon and didn't like the android system enough to keep it.
I'm hoping that within a year, the iphone will be on verizon so I can get out of ATT service. So if I sign up for 2 years, then I'll also have to pay the ETF, which I believe will now be like Verizon's at 350 - $10 off per month. So maybe you're right and it comes out to be more $$$..

That's an early upgrade, not standard. Trying to see if that's truly what the OP means.
Plus, even if the ETF+subsidized price=non-subsidized price, financially you benefit from AT&T fronting the subsidy.

Mine is for the full discount of 199/299 assuming that the prices are the same. I bought mine in July of last year and another interesting tidbit is my husband was added in Sept. of last year and he is eligible for only an iphone upgrade (weird message i've never seen before). Hmm thank you AT&T, however my husband isn't obsessed with the Iphone like myself
i have a fan discount so in the premier store it says $399/$499. at least thats a early upgrade. but still i bet if it had stayed 11/17 they woulda bumped it up to now and it wOulda been a full upgrade
