AT&T Confirming Shipment of iPhone 4 Pre-Orders

Mine has changed to in progress. Unfortunately it's shipping via UPS which comes very late in the day. I was hoping for FedEx which is usually here by 9am

Hello. New to this forum. I preordered at a At&t Store on 6/15. My official time on the reciept is 1:39PM pacific time. My order showed back ordered on 6/15. The next day it was not on back ordered. Finally today i received the email regarding my shipping. Shipped today via UPS. I am provided with the tracking number but cannot track yet. I have a USPS fan discount.

I ordered my iPhone from Apple and today, my current phone is not working.
If this guy gets his iPhone before I do I will raise F*ing hell!!!
iPhone arriving early!
Ordered my iPhone on June 15th around 1:24pm PDT. Apple sent the email notification on June 19th that my order had shipped with a FEDEX estimated delivery date of June 24 by 4:30pm. On June 21, got another email from Apple stating that it's arriving on the 23rd!!

I received an email today from apple saying my fedex delivery of iPhone 4 will arrive a day early on the 23rd. I checked the fedex tracking and it is already in Oakland (I live in san Diego). Is anyone else getting these early delivery notification emails from apple?

ordered mines on the 15 of june.....order says 16.... going crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! early i called att they told me my order was valid...

i am too.i ordered at 5 am est on the 15th nd didnt go thru til the 16th.only thing that matters is the timestamp of when u actaully place ur order.still havent gotten it shipped yet.(im also a new customer so itll prolly take longer)but we will get out phones on time
I just did! I can't believe they're delivering a day early?! Mine was originally being delivered via Fedex June 24th by 4:30 & now there email states they will be delivering earlier than they expected & I will be receiving my Iphone June 23rd. Only time will tell

I got this early shipment email from Apple too. It would be awesome if it was true. Something tells me this email is a mistake, an Apple server error or something - meant for most products, but not for this iPhone unveiling. I've got a feeling they will still hold the packages until the 24th!

Mine is also in Oakland. I think instead of holding them, apple's gonna let them ship a day early to ease the servers for launch day. Imagine everyone activating on the 24th.
My Fedex order status says "Package available for clearance" and it's in Anchorage, AK.
I'm a little nervous that it's not in "Oakland" yet like some of yours, but I am in Oregon, not California. Usually my Fedex packages go from Memphis to some city in Washington whose name I can't remember before they get to me. Maybe mine will get to Memphis tonight?

It really does seem as if there's no rhyme or reason to the shipping dates. For the benefit of the group, here's my information.
I ordered early in the morning on 15 June and received my confirmation shortly after at 5:03 am EDT (2:03 PDT). My order was placed via AT&T Premiere.
Now, on the tracking update, the order date says 19 June 2010 and the order shows in progress/backorder as others have been reporting throughout the thread.
I like in Knoxville, TN, so I assume mine will be coming from Memphis.

My wife and I per ordered at the same store 2.5 hours apart, me at 2:00 pm est and her at 430 pm est.
I got my tracking info yesterday morning and she just got hers.
Mine is being shipped by Fedex and hers by UPS.

I ordered late in the morning of the 15th, Eastern time, STILL showing back ordered. However, it's showing two orders, both with the same order number. If they send me a free one, I'll wait a day or two.
And the radio news here is trumpeting that APPLE is saying that people will get their phones early. So, it looks like you ARE getting your phones early. Bastards.

Just got my email from Apple this morning stating the exact same thing. I presume we'll be able to activate the phone tomorrow presuming this is true...

Mine has said shipped for the last few days but the FEDEX tracking number still doesn't show anything when I click it? I really hope it gets here tomorrow or I'll be pissed. I woke up super early and ordered around 5:15am EST. My card has already been charged and my AT&T order status says shipped. I tried really hard to order from Apple but got frustrated and used AT&T as a last resort. Anyone else's FEDEX tracking number not showing anything either?
