AT&T Confirming Shipment of iPhone 4 Pre-Orders

I placed my order when my local ATT store opened Tuesday. The contract was done in the system but the payment was done on paper. I recieved a confirmation email the next morning with a June sixteenth date. It still says In Progress. If I'm going to get mine a little later thats OK. It would be nice to know if and when.

Mine was the same way. I'm still stuck on 'In progress' for both of the phones I ordered (one at 8:50am EST and the other at 10:40 EST). It's really getting frustrating seeing everyone who ordered later than me having shipping info!!
 
i am in the group that ordered from at&t on 6/15, but the page shows 6/16... my order does not yet show as shipped... but at least it doesn't show as backordered.

Ordered mine on the 15th at about 11 am PDT and it says I ordered on the 16th.

Thing was I got my email confirmation immediately so I would imagine the order went through. Still no billing on my credit card though...strange...

i am quite surprised that i received a tracking number and a ship date of 6/20. after reading the boards, i was sure i wouldn't see any updates.. i want to point out that i ordered my phone from the att store on at 6:30 pm EST on tuesday. know that just because i received a tracking number, doesn't mean i will received by the end of the week.. one can only hope..

It's actually much higher than 600,000. That is just the pr-eorder number. It does not include in store pickups at any of the outlets (Apple store, ATT store, Best Buy, Radio Shack, Walmart). If I remember correctly, the 600,000 number included pre-orders for other countries too, so that will help ATT a bit.
 
How is this possible?

On the premier it shows my order on the 15th. I made the order at 6am through the premier site.

It shows in progress.

There is a report today that Best Buy will have limited inventory on Thursday. If AT&T is shipping you one you might want to consider canceling at BB. If Fedex has your phone, you should get it no problem.
 
AT&T Shipped.... Sorta

So, I got sick of refreshing the FedEx site to finally see any movement. I called FedEx and gave them the tracking number from the AT&T order status page. The FedEx representative said "Sir, your package is set to move from the destination on June 23, 2010 with overnight delivery to deliver on June 24, 2010."

He said that no status will show on the tracking website until the item "moves."

FYI... I pre-ordered through the AT&T personal website at 4:47 AM EST 6-15- 10. The order status page shows a ship date of 6-17-10. I have also not been charged for the iPhone yet. Also no item shipped email.

Why are some people's shipments showing movement and others not? Is it because when I ordered the phone they were giving out the free Overnight delivery? Did everyone get overnight or are there multiple shipping methods to ease the load on FedEx?
 
AT&T iPhone Order - In Progress

I pre-ordered my iPhone 4 on Jun. 15 through AT&T (it went through on the first try) because I had trouble ordering through Apple. I then canceled my in-store pickup reservation because the order went through. I even got my confirmation e-mail at 9:12 am PDT.

My online order status didn't even show up for two days (17th) and that is the date that the online system says I ordered. The system still shows "In Progress". I hope I get my phone on the 24th.

Ok for those that ordered through AT&T Premier, does the order date differ from the premier order status page and the regular att order status page? Just checked mine and I see this.....I'm not happy.

It really shouldn't matter. Nobody here has any information on the topic, and the fact that you are getting yours on the 24th is all you should care about.

Orders confirmed with a 6/24 date will arrive that day if this rollout is like the last one and the iPad rollout.

thanks. That's interesting - although unfortunately makes me feel worse. Mine shows as back ordered under this second link with an order date of the 16th, even though the premier site shows 15th (which is correct). Guess I'll keep checking back and seeing what happens. The problem for me is I'm leaving the country for a trip the following week, so if they ship it while I'm not here - it'll end up going back after 3 failed delivery attempts. Bah !

Last year I ordered from Apples site, and all I had to do was plug into iTunes and it was done. IF the AT&T process is automated, I would hope they could handle it given they are a phone company. But as we all know AT&T always finds a way to mess it up. If a person answers that phone to process the activation, I agree that Europe is a good plan.
 
Premier? Anyone?

My order went through AT&T Premier with a e-mail confirmation received 8:29AM CST (the order actually completed maybe 15 minutes before that) on June 15... I show an order date of 6/15 on both the AT&T Consumer and Premier order sites, but the AT&T Consumer site says the status is "In Progress" with all items as "Back Ordered" and the Premier site says just says "Processing" with a last update of 6/16/2010.

Has anyone see this and actually gone to shipped status?
