It is that my English is soooooo poor that I don't under what PREMIER means? Does premier means second class citizen?

Premier is AT&T's business & association group... if you are part of a discount plan with your employer or school, you go through their "Premier" group.
 
Mine's the same as Matt's too.

Spoke to someone at AT&T and honestly they have the exact info we have. Basically they just check the status info of the order through the site. He basically said that I was SOL even though I ordered on the 15th at 11 am and the order date says the 16th. Said that the demand to input the orders was just too high.

Also, my credit card still hasn't been billed and they haven't even generated an invoice for my phone, haha. Not a good sign, I imagine. Those that have had their orders shipped, was your credit care already charged?

Funds were held on my account on the 19th, and on the AT&T general order status page says backordered, and most irritating, that I ordered on the 19th! I have a feeling those of us who ordered via Premier may not get our correct spot in the queue.

Yeah...looks like my sarcasm doesn't work very well. I know that I ordered via premier because I have university discount. I just don't understand why us premier customers are treated so poorly. It's so frustrating.

thanks. That's interesting - although unfortunately makes me feel worse. Mine shows as back ordered under this second link with an order date of the 16th, even though the premier site shows 15th (which is correct). Guess I'll keep checking back and seeing what happens. The problem for me is I'm leaving the country for a trip the following week, so if they ship it while I'm not here - it'll end up going back after 3 failed delivery attempts. Bah !


My order went through AT&T Premier with a e-mail confirmation received 8:29AM CST (the order actually completed maybe 15 minutes before that) on June 15... I show an order date of 6/15 on both the AT&T Consumer and Premier order sites, but the AT&T Consumer site says the status is "In Progress" with all items as "Back Ordered" and the Premier site says just says "Processing" with a last update of 6/16/2010.

Has anyone see this and actually gone to shipped status?

I'm in the exactly the same boat as you guys. Ordered before 9:30 EST on the 15th, showing "In Progress" with the correct order date on Premier, but backordered on the standard order page with an incorrect order date of 6/16. :confused:

So I ordered through the ATT site around 3 EST on the 15th, but I have an order date of the 16th, and still In Progress. Nothing in the backordered column though. Any ideas about when/if mine will be shipped?

Same here. If I try to log on the premier site it says my number is an individual number, but have you tried to place any order on you regular site? Mine will direct me to premier store, that's why I got my order via premier.

Not always true. I get a 20% discount through my work, but my account isn't a Premier account.

Not really. Someone that ordered way after me (through premier) has already gone from "in progress" to "shipped". If what I've read is correct, AT&T is literally fulfilling orders by hand, and apparently not in any particular order.

I'm still "in progress" and "backordered" even though I ordered before others that have already gotten their tracking numbers. There is no rhyme or reason to any of this.

Like other posts have said, AT&T is overnighting shipments via FedEx. This means that we really shouldn't panic until at least Thursday. I'd definitely feel better if my status would switch to shipped, but I'm still holding out hope.
 
Where did they mention overnight? I've never seen that on the AT&T site, thought folks in this forum constantly remind me that. My confirmation email reads:

Thank you for your purchase from the AT&T Premier Online Store. We're pleased with your choice of AT&T as your wireless service provider.

Pre-orders will be fulfilled beginning June 24, 2010. Orders will ship on a first-come, first-served basis. We will notify you by email when your order ships. Ok for those that ordered through AT&T Premier, does the order date differ from the premier order status page and the regular att order status page? Just checked mine and I see this.....I'm not happy.

crap. My order number is higher than yours, so I'm assuming later. Mine is still showing 6/16 as order date on this page, but I'm guessing it's just a matter of time. f**kers !

I took one for the team and was on hold for 30 minutes for Premier Customer Service (btw, 1-866-499-8008, wait for prompts #2, #3, #0).

Ordered before 8:00 AM on 15th.

One of my premier upgrades has been shipped with tracking. The other is saying back ordered.

The enthusiastic customer service representative indicated I will not receive the backordered phone on the 24th. Said sometime between 25th - 28th. So you all are likely in the same boat that are Premier, and have theirs labeled 'back-ordered'. He could not explain why one is shipping and the other is not. He was sort of like a robot, "it will ship between 25th and the 28th" over and over. He even said the one that has a tracking number may not be received till after the 24th, although I don't believe that.

Does anyone else show a shipping date of the 18th? It's odd that I seem to have an earlier ship date than most people are posting, but it still says that the order is "in progress." Wondering why the shipped column still shows a quantity of 0.

Yup my order has shown shipped since I woke up this morning but I haven't received an email. To be honest, I haven't received ANY iPhone 4 mentioning email from AT&T throughout this whole process. I've gotten emails about my contract changing with an upgrade etc, but nothing that actually mentioned the iPhone 4 or my shipping or pre-order or anything. Kinda annoying how uninformative they are. But as long as I get my phone (Which is looks like I will, shipped 6/17) I don't care. Lol.
