But wouldnt that be obvious? Many people skipped 5/5s because they were satisfied with the 4, and now a whole new generation came out + the different sizes. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I think the carriers circumventing the will of Apple and going live early made things more of a mess than they otherwise wouldve been.

They removed my Unlimited Data !

Soooo pissed off.

Been on hold for 30 minutes trying to reach support.

I've been on Unlimited since the first iPhone

Where did you see that your unlimited plan was removed? I got my order confirmation at 2 AM and I cannot see anything about what plan I'm on. Hopefully that means I'm still on the unlimited plan.

I was on hold for 1.5 hours before they got back to me and basically said "sorry".

Sorry as in you cannot get back on the unlimited plan or sorry that you got your unlimited plan back?

Yeah im pretty upset about that. From what I see, it seems as though Apple was the only place that had stock of the Plus models. And from what im reading it seems as though even Apple didn't have much stock.

I wish ATT gave an advanced notice on how sparse inventory is. Then I would have purchased the 6. I ordered mine before 3am and im in the 14-21 business day group.

So cancel your 6 Plus order, and order the 6....

I tried to cancel my 6 Plus with AT&T, and they wouldn't let me. They also wouldn't guarantee I could cancel it two weeks from now, when my ship date is "35-42 BUSINESS DAYS".

Apple sucks because Android ships 300 million units monthly. :D

And we all know that "Android" is only one manufacturer, right?

They responded to someone on Twitter that had the same issue. They said to call AT&T when the new phone comes BEFORE you activate it, and they should be able to preserve your unlimited plan.

It still looks ridiculous there will just be more of them now.

Yeah, that. I ordered one but I'm going to be self-conscious about it for quite a while. I have a feeling my wife will tease me, even in my own home. :p

Apple was right to make bigger-screen phones.

The "people don't want larger screens" thinking was mostly a chunk of this crowd here spinning "man purses" and "pants with special pockets" and other such nonsense, mostly tied to wildly imagining phones near the size of iPad Minis instead of breaking out basic tools like pen, paper & a ruler and getting a realistic picture of phone sizes.

In their defense, "we" have been accustomed to 4" for a LONG time with Apple marketing spin rationalizing why 4" is the "perfect" size via "one handed use". As such, "we" have spent a couple of years poking "abomination", "stupid" and "99% don't want…" in all discussions about phones with screens bigger than 4". So it's hard for some of "us" to flip with Apple overnight, knowing how someone with too much time on their hands could go back and find examples of "us" ripping phones >4" to contrast against our already or soon-to-be-posted gushing love for our new 4.7" or 5.5" iPhone.

Give it a few days and much of that "people don't want…" & "man purse" sentiment will be evaporated with the good old "…but when I got to actually see one", which quickly turns into "shut up and take my money" and "best iPhone ever". Just a few days ago, 4" was still the officially endorsed "perfect" size as handed down by Apple. Sure there was a huge pile of rumors that made it seem like the new "perfect" was about to hit but until Apple actually announces, the group sentiment is always splintered. Now that Apple has ordained a new view of perfect screen sizes, the group will mostly rally around them. I suspect it's only a few more days until people start posting things like "how did we ever get by with such puny screens?" and similar.

If they offered the iPhone 6 in the body of the 4S, that would be my number one choice. I just don't get the concept of carrying a mini iPad around in your pocket.

I'm always a little surprised to see that each year Apple and the carriers always seem to sell more iPhone's than the previous year. It's a solid product.

And talk you out of spending an extra $100 for the 5.5"? They're in business to make money, my friend.

You might want to ask your parents what the difference is between an OS and a manufacturer.

If you don't think Android/Windows/Blackberry phone makers wouldn't kill for a response like Apple gets EVERY time they release a new phone you're kidding yourself.

Only way I could do it would be to get a bluetooth. Still obnoxious but not quite as much as holding that huge thing to your face.

In fairness though it seems I use voice calling less and less.

I was able to cancel my AT&T order by logging into my AT&T account, finding my order, and hitting the cancel button.

Hmmm, well I was able to cancel mine by logging into my AT&T account, finding my order, and hitting the "cancel" button. Not sure why you're not able to do the same.

I think the most important thing is options. The next big thing, will be 'mini' smart phones.

All I know is everything about these phones is preference.
