That's because TMS4 has been dead for 2 years now. The new code is TMB9. CLL2 and U200 are good, however, CLL2 will be dropped after a billing cycle if you don't meet the required college approved FAN#.

On a side not, my CLL2 was dropped despite me being in college. I know, not all colleges are available with this code.

Do you have to be IN college - or just a college FAN? As an alum I get a FAN discount with my alma mater - wondering if I should try CLL2 or the TMB9

The first rep I spoke with tonight gave me some story about how customers are now able to add these features through myWireless... That was certainly a first. Not being a gullible sheep, I simply hung up and called back.

The second rep was able to add TMB9 to both of my lines (my girlfriend's line did not have a FAN number so the primary line's discounts must carry over to those underneath it; nice). This replaces my unlimited family messaging so I'm saving myself $15 a month. Not too shabby.

I have a FAN# and my CLL2 got dropped after 2nd billing cycle :(. I guess my university isn't CLL2 friendly.

TMB9 didn't work for me, I think its more of a business deal. You can try tho.

I spoke to a rep this morning. After a decent amount of time on the phone of him checking into it - he could add the 750 messages to my account if I still wanted to go ahead. I told him I might call back after the 25th to add it.

He confirmed with certaintly that the TMB9 code is old and is B2B meaning its a BUSINESS code which is set of for text messaging ONLY. ATT has moved to new bundles (the 200 / 1500 / unlimited) which will not incur more charges for MMS. The BUSINESS plans such as TMB9 are not set up for MMS. He wasn't sure whether or not MMS would even work as part of the plan or if there would be additional charges since the TMB9 plan is text only.

I'll wait and see on here if people wind up being able to send MMS and/or incur more charges for doing so with this plan in place.

While I don't plan on using MMS all that often - I would prefer not limit my abilities when it is available. And if the charges per message aren't that much - it still might make sense to go with the business code and pay ala carte for the few MMS I might send...

Something to consider based on my (and your) personal usage

Just a quick question, which iphone do you have because the rep that i spoke to told me that his supervisor said that the code will only apply to the 1st gen iphone? The rep was wiling to set up a commitment call to call me back tomorrow to see if his supervisor is correct or not so your feedback is appreciated. Thank you.

just added tmb9 to both lines on my account. both are iphone 3gs

called asked them to removed my 200 min text plan and that i had a code for a new plan. gave the TMB9 code and said it should be for 750 text msg. She replied back that it would be 7.49 a month. She added it to both lines.....took a whole 5 min including hold time.

:D so happy now.

Any confirmation of this? I have B2B1500 on my account and have been looking forward to MMS for quite a while. Will there be any problems?

The SOC text message plans include MMS just like the normal text plans. The same rules apply. The ATT system will NOT let you have 2 text message plans. If ATT adds a SOC text message plan, the system automatically removes any other text message plans.

Not arguing with that. But ATT could force you to switch to the 200/1500/unlimited txt plan they NOW have vs the older b2b plans which were specifically set up for businesses and NO MMS.

The CSR stated (and he seemed very knowledgable - not just guessing) that ATT set these plans up for businesses who wouldn't ever have a need for MMS.

No one can say with 100 percent accuracy until After the 25th - until then - its just anyone's GUESS.

Again - not trying to be argumentative. But again, no one can possibly say with certainty what will and won't work until then.

I actually had the $5 200 plan alongside CLL2 for over a month. I was also charged 30¢ for MMS with CLL2 after I had removed the $5 plan as well. It helps to see that CLL2 is labeled as "College 200 SMS"

B2B Txt Msg 750

Anyone with this plan ( B2B Txt Msg 750 ) and an iphone successfully sending MMS?

I'm not. I am getting the red exclamation mark

That means you have to switch into one of the iPhone Text plans... sucks, but that's a price you are going to have to accept.

The TMB9 or for those who had TMS4 are plans for the Enterprise customers (hence the B2B). They were not designed for consumers.

For those that switched did you try with your B2B text plan...fail...change plans and succeed sending MMS.

I think I am going to wait a bit and hope they unblock the B2B's...I'll pay the per use pic message fee instead of moving to a 1500 15.00 plan....yuck!

I switechted to the 1500 from the B2B and it worked immediately

MMS works fine with TMS4. You do not need to switch.

A simple reset of network settings solved the red exclamation point error for me after a call to ATT. ;)

I spent an hour on the phonne with ATT and apple and it wasn't till i chnaged the texting plan that it worked. maybe i'll try and change back.
