You need one of three regular text plans for the iPhone. Special promo for SMS will not work for MMS.
I argued for some time as I have an email from an AT&T rep stating that my plan (the 750 for 7.49) included MMS to no avail. I got tired of argueing and just changed back to the 200 for $5.

OK, got home, did a restore as new phone and now MMS is working (on the 1500 plan). Now resyncing everything.
Sorry but AT&T is not charity and the 750 texts for $7.49 was never meant for consumers. So stop complaining of not having something you never supposed to or entitled to have.
Yeah I'm on the phone to AT&T. I have the 750 Texts B2B for $7.49, and MMS does NOT work. So for those on the 750 text plan, sorry, you're outa luck.

It is not meant for you. We all took advantage on the plans, but AT&T doesn't have to help us get MMS on them.
I know the CLL2 I got is SMS only.
Day 2, still working fine on the 1500 plan so i'm guessing this discount plan was the culprit.
If you want to keep your discounted text plan and add pay per message MMS charged at 30 cents, this is what worked for me.
I called and asked them to add the code MU01 which is pay per use MMS.
I believe I will be charged for MMS because I checked my account today and it says
MMS
2 of 0 with a red line.
To me, it is worth keeping my special plan and using MMS sparingly....

Same here, I've fought all day trying to get MMS working. I had them try to add the MU01 (I'm on the 750 MSG / $7.49 B2B plan), the CSR said it wouldn't take but a few minutes later my MMS started working. I thought GREAT! I just checked and now my MMS says 4 of 0. Time to make another call to AT&T...
eh, so much work for such a minor feature without much benefit...sigh.
Don't get 3.1 without losing tethering, cant have MMS without losing cheap texting, you suck sometimes, ATT.
Since MMS doesn't work with TMB9 and the like; can someone post the .ipcc that doesn't do MMS?

I downloaded the previous popular hacked version people were using before 3.1 OSX
I only have "Show preview" and "Repeat alert"

Just confirming that MU01 works. Like others my account shows the messages as pay per use which means we will most likely be charged the .30 cent per message fee.
However, if you send or receive 25 or less MMSs per month it will still be a better deal than upgrading to the $15 plan.

So we just need to tell them we want to add a pay per use mms feature on our plan?
I can't decide whether to just upgrade my plan to the normal $15 for 1500 messages or stay on my B2B1500 for $8.99...
Nope, people with unlimited plans had their message saying that they had unlimited MMS and it was included
so, my post means that people with discounted plans wont get MMS working unless they add pay per use

I'm on B2B 750 for $7.49. I'm avg about 50-100 per month, never went above 200. I may go back to 200 MSG with MMS and it will save me $2.49 anyway.
Yes, be nice and also say "yeah, my friend just had to do the same thing and he said the code that his rep used was MU01 and that is should show up as Pay Per Message MMS." That should easily get you there
Someone call up and ask for MUX1 to be added to their account.....
Someone on the other TMS4 thread has that on their account and it appears they are not getting charged for MMS...and theirs is included in their text so far......
If that doesn't work, then MU01 will which will charge per message.
