Meaning you USED TO get 2 bars of LTE but now you get 5G and it performs around 60 Mbps? You left out some important details in that statement.
I get 2 bars of LTE and 2 bars of 5G. Nothing has been changed or upgraded on the network side otherwise. Trust me, I check the permits twice a week.

While I know it'll get resolved eventually, I am jealous of those of you that got it working.
I’m sure it’s coming don’t worry. I saw someone in this thread say they didn’t do anything at all and then it showed up on its own. However, I do think calling in and updating the IMEI expedites the process.

I did. They said there are conflicting codes whatever that means. I'm waiting for a supposed call back in the next 24 hours. Debating if I want to call back again and ask for supervisor. Or enjoy my Saturday

Thanks did same, they have new new abs correct IMEI and ICCID #s and still no 5g - any ideas ?

Make sure if your location has 5G coverage and plan has 5G access. Also reboot the phone as others are mentioning.
If you can tell AT&T to reset your plan according to your iPhone 12. Not necessarily change the plan but just reset or update it. Tell them to remove your previous phone from your account.

Well I called ATT PrePaid and spoke with a person and he said he updated my IMEI and SIM on the system but I still don't see 5G I even rebooted. Its been an hour and nothing yet....idk what to do at his point

If you go on ATT's website, you can walk through the process. It will show you the increase or decrease in price compared to your current plan. Like I previously mentioned, mine actually went down by a few dollars.
Well I’ve also got DirecTV and apparently I have some bill credit for HBO that I will lose if I change my AT&T plan. Though I swear if I called AT&T again a different customer service associate would probably tell me something different.

Ah the consequences of being an early adapter.

AT&T has a ways to go. It’ll get sorted out eventually. I’ll wait. ;)

Not sure if it's all part of the same problem that's preventing me from getting 5G, but I am unable to turn off streamsaver on one of my lines. I get an error. It's like something about these new plans is horked by pre-existing account data or something. Not trying to derail the thread to discuss streamsaver, just putting that out there that something funky is going on.

Yeah...not worth it right now..

Currently paying $360/month for 6 numbers on the current 4G LTE unlimited plan with everything.

Only thing I get additional on the same plan for everyone on the Elite 5G is more hotspot data...but $55 more a month.

It would be $10 cheaper a month if I did auto pay, but I don't do that now. But you have some good points about other discounts I could look at.

Oh...and I'm still getting a corporate discount from a company I haven't worked for in 5 years and would lose that under that under the 5G plan. I'll get my phone first when it comes out in a few weeks and really dig into it.

Paying way too much as it is.
You don't lose your corporate discount. You get $10 off per line because you already have the discount. You also get $10 off per line with paperless and auto pay. That is giving you $120 in discounts. That makes the Elite plan $35 pr line. That is $35x6 = $210 plus taxes and fees. I don't see how you are coming up with $55 more. Even if you didn't do the auto pay it is $45 per line, which is $270. Still less than what you are paying.

It says I lose it...it shows the prices side by side...trust me, it’s more.

Well, my corporate discount that I already had on my account automatically applied the discount. It still shows on my account overview. Can you show me where it says you lose it? I did see the fine print and if you have over 5 lines, your discount would be $5 off per line, so just wanted to correct that.

I was able to fix the issue today. I chatted with a rep online. He just asked for the IMEI number of my esim and the eid of the device. I rebooted and 5G options showed up.
No luck for me yet. I am using esim, and I changed to Unlimited Elite. Still only getting LTE/4G options.

On both my phones, they didn’t have 5g working, ordered from apple and kept the new sim. After day 1 I did the website refresh and then rebooted a while later it came through - both my phones now have the 5g menu options. So not sure if its just time or the refresh helped. I had update to elitr & standard 5g plans a week prior

If youre on ATT where can I chat with them?

I had the same issue when I activated my 12 Pro. My plan qualifies for 5G access and my information (IMEI/ICCID) appeared to have updated correctly in the system. Went to bed and woke up in the morning with 5G options in the cellular menu.

My guess is that it takes time for the system to register and communicate with your device. 🤷🏻‍♂️
