You likely will not get anyone from Apple here on the AT&T direct order thread.
But the answer is no unless you manage to find an available configuration to order another iPhone 16 for ISPU and get a reservation that opens due to a customer cancelling. And please don't just plan to show up at 5 PM for example as there are customers scheduled every 15 minutes.

I've changed pickup times before, and I've just shown up when I could on delivery day and have been helped without issue.
There will be holes in the schedule due to people no-showing for their scheduled times, plus Apple has to build in some slack for walk-ins. You might have to wait a bit to get helped, but so it goes.
Anyone had any luck tracking on Fedex with a reference number? If so, did you use the order number or the phone number associated with it? Mine is going to a business address so it won't let me sign up for Delivery Manager to track it that way.
No luck for me. Tried order number and phone number. Nothing pops up for me in Delivery Manager.
I just traded in both mine and my wife's 12 Pro Max 256 GB (both paid in full) and received a $1,000 trade in credit per phone towards our 16 Pro Max 256 GB. No issues at all.
Just checked UPS and there is a label created in Ft Worth, next day air. Previous deliveries were with FedEx. I ALWAYS have an issue with UPS. Guess I’ll be working from home Friday. Even if I am home, UPS likes to say they attempted delivery or they say they can’t get in the gate.

Alright so I have an estimated ship of sep 27 to oct 11 but the status on AT&T has updated to the we are ready to ship message and I can no longer cancel the order. Check FedEx and UPS and don’t have anything coming from Texas BUT there is a tracking number on UPS saying pending delivery date and everytime I click on it, all it says is too new and they don’t have anything coming info on it. Do I have some hope to cling on to here that it comes early or am I still cooked?

I was given the same estimated ship date but fedex is showing tracking info for it to come friday morning if that helps.
We decided pretty late to replace my son's current phone with an iPhone 16 base model with the trade-in promotion. Unfortunately, his color of choice (Teal, 128 GB) is the only one on the website that has a non-launch day delivery estimate (Oct. 2-16).
Does anyone know if it would be possible to walk into an AT&T store this weekend, maybe Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon, and they would have one in stock? I want to make sure that we get the promotion. Would the Apple Store also be able to get the AT&T order started, assuming one has one in stock?

So I ordered at 4:45am PT on launch day and estimated ship is Thursday. Anyone know how to find a tracking number if possible? I've checked UPS and FedEx on my account but got nothing. Not a big deal but just curious.
Apple can do it for sure. You can pre-order online and the system will tell you if the phone you want will be available for pickup at a particular store.
I just did a quick look for Teal and there was availability for Saturday pickup (in SoCal).
You may not get tracking until Thursday (seriously).
One year, one of my phones showed "pending" (with an estimated ship of Thursday before launch day) the entire time and was delivered on launch day, haha!!
