Sooooo… I have an iPhone 12 Pro where two of the cameras are not working. Going through the questions about the condition on AT&T and it only asks about the functionality of the display…. Answering everything it is still quoting $1000 trade-in value. I feel like that can’t be accurate. Can it?

Ordered Desert Titanium 1 TB 16 pro this morning from ATT and will be here next Friday. FYI if you want to avoid the Apple Store crowds the 16 pro Apple cases are in the store already. Got one today. Coming from the 13 pro this should be pretty awesome. EDIT: You should order the cases online for pick-up in store since some store associates can figure out how to get around anything and they are not on display yet.

Is it cracked? or just the camera doesn’t perform? We don’t test the cameras when I process trade ins
 
If you purchased from Apple even if you signed up for a Carrier installment you will receive a return kit from Apple if you included your wife's iPhone 13 Pro Max. That's how you get the AT&T credits over 36 months. You indicated that you missed that step on Apple.com so you are not setup for the $1000 Carrier Trade-in plan with the monthly Credits.

You posted that you missed that step on Apple.com so you are at the mercy of your near by AT&T Corporate Retail location. Your new 36 month installment will not qualify for device credits. The AT&T Corporate location will need to perform a couple of extra steps. Normally they will only take the Trade-in if you ordered through AT&T.

want to clear the last statement up-As long as there’s AT&T installment plan and purchased within the promo period then AT&T corporate stores can process the trade in in store- apple accesses the AT&T accounts via their system when you buy with AT&T installments. It just the info for the trade in won’t be auto filled in for us when the trade in comes through but customers have 30 days to do a qualifying trade in when they get their new device. I prefer people to do it in store versus shipping Anyway because I’ve seen trade in kits take too long.

No external damage. I dropped it about a year ago and it landed camera bump first and the ultra wide and tele cameras have not worked since. Maybe I’ll wait until next week and take it in to an AT&T store.

actual credit will be determine after the third party company inspect the phone
 
Well here we go! My order yesterday gave me a delivery date of Oct 11th but UPS popped up with a tracking number pending delivery date. Anyone else getting anything?

TL/DR: Real world experience does not match your views!

While you might be correct in theory or policy my experience as a customer does not match your "facts". You need to tell other Corp stores. I have 3 in my area. Due to issues ordering 2 iPhone 13 Pro units on Sept. 2021 from the AT&T site.

I ended up ordering 1 from Apple and 1 from AT&T. I went to my nearest Corp Retail location and they would only accept 1 of Phone ordered via Apple as a trade-in. They were happy to accept the one ordered from AT&T but not the one ordered from Apple. Yes it was a simple AT&T Upgrade ordered via Apple.com. I said thanks but no I wanted to trade-in both on their own lines and not make a separate trip to the Apple store for a Carrier issue.

I chose to just try the next AT&T Corp Retail location. The individual covering customer arrivals asked what was the purpose of my visit. I let her know that I had 2 iPhones to return to complete 2 line upgrade orders. She indicated that they don't have any way to send them back or even process the trade-in on the account.

At the third AT&T Corp Retail location is was not an issue completing the trade-in process for both lines and printing me a receipt. The also mention that the first 2 stores should have be happy to process both trade-ins. She did mention that there are issues at some areas / regions where the RM puts demands on the locations to make their individual and store monthly numbers and not to focus on Customer Satisfaction.

I prefer people to do it in store versus shipping Anyway because I’ve seen trade in kits take too long.
Most customers would agree with you especially with lost or very late posting from the third-party receiver.

I just looked at my AT&T app and all three of my phone orders say: great news, we are just about ready to ship your order. Which means they will sit at the AT&T distribution facility until Thursday and ship out overnight and I should have them Friday. iPhone 16 pro max 1TB (x2) Desert titanium, and Natural titanium, 16 pro 512GB Desert titanium for the wife. I am ready to start taking more photos and videos with new equipment. Excitement is in the air.
 
Here is one of my iPhone 16 Pro units already to go the other one is just Label printed. It notes the hold for delivery until scheduled delivery date.

You can ignore the emails and status from AT&T. Just get the FedEx app and wait for your SMS Txt...

I don't think they follow this thread. What configuration did you order? Was it something exotic?

As I recall from previous launches, since I’m already in Texas, I won’t get notification on FedEx until about Tuesday or Wednesday.

Times look good for Ft Worth, TX. It looks like your package is between my 2 packages. I can now see the details for my "Label Created" 2nd iPhone 16 Pro but it is still stuck in label created only status.

Nothing exotic. 2x 16PM 1TB in Desert Ti.

They’ll get here. The only possible gotcha is one line is FirstNet. However, they both show “getting ready to ship”. Just nothing on FedEx yet.

Same as it ever was, haha!!
