.20¢ is 20 pennies, not 1/5 of a penny. .20c, .20¢, $0.20 is all the same thing.
Nothing we didn't already know... data goes up $10 and text messages are no longer included so that is another $5 (which is a joke)

Read the 6th bullet down.
Sheesh, this thread is a trainwreck of misinformation.
I have a 550 minute family plan which is 59.99. I've had it for ages and I've never been forced to upgrade. I'll add an iphone 3g to that making it 89.99 and also a 4.99 text message plan making it somewhere around $95.
Now...I'll also receive a 15% discount, so that'll work out to around $80.75 before taxes. I currently pay around $85 after taxes, so that'll be pretty nice...not much of an increase for me.
Before you go an flame, AT&T is treating the iPhone like any other phone, so you should be able to get a discount on the voice and data if you quality for a FAN discount.
I won't be paying the $129.99 because that's for TWO iPhones on a Family Plan.
People need to chill out though.
And where does it say you have to get a new family plan ?

oh get over it, data plans dont include texts
20¢ is twenty cents
0.20¢ is one twentieth of a cent
$20 is twenty dollars
$0.20 is one twentieth of a dollar
20¢ is twenty cents
0.20¢ is one twentieth of a cent
$20 is twenty dollars
$0.20 is one twentieth of a dollar
And then do what? Go with Verizon? Verizon's data plans are MORE EXPENSIVE than ATT Yes, if the iPhone were on Verizon, it would be more expensive, just like Blackberrys are more expensive on Verizon!
God people, get over the 15 dollars a month, this pricing is the same thing blackberry users have been paying for years!!!
what if i borrow someones iphone from someone that has upgraded? will i be able to upgrade to a 3G iphone because i am now an existing iphone user?
Assuming you do this before July 11th, sure.
we've gone over this again and again. This is fair for people who are already under contract.

I know, who needs cable when you can be surfing on a 28k modem? Woo hoo!
